Mueller seeks White House documents related to Trump's actions as president

Michael S. Schmidt, New York Times News Service

Published 12:26 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2017

WASHINGTON — Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, has asked the White House for documents about some of President Donald Trump's most scrutinized actions since taking office, including the firing of his national security adviser and FBI director, according to White House officials Mueller is also interested in an Oval Office meeting Trump had with Russian officials in which he said the dismissal of the FBI director had relieved "great pressure" on him.
The document requests provide the most details to date about the breadth of Mueller's investigation, and show that several aspects of his inquiry are focused squarely on Trump's behavior in the White House

This sounds like he is pursuing the obstruction of justice angle.

One of the requests is about a meeting Trump had in May with Russian officials in the Oval Office the day after James B. Comey, the FBI director, was fired. That day, Trump met with the Russian foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, and the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey I. Kislyak, along with other Russian officials. The New York Times reported that in the meeting Trump had said that firing Comey relieved "great pressure" on him.

Steve Bannon said the firing of Comey was a pretty big mistake according to news reports last week. I was so surprised as were many when that happened. I was surprised because I thought it looked so bad not out of any devotion to Comey.
Now it's obvious that Bob Mueller is at least looking into the obstruction of justice angle.

This is from the New York Times but that site won't allow copying. The other site used the story with accreditation to the New York Times.

Mueller is getting desperate. He also interviewed Rosenstein this week, the man who hired him as special counsel!

I read yesterday that he's also going after press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for obstruction of justice, because she said bad things about James Comey.

Mueller is now worse than a loose cannon. Time for him to go.

I would recommend Mueller seek out CNN, Twitter and Whitehouse.gov.

They may even have kept track of his bowel movements.

Well if he is going to do an investigation, he might as well be thorough.

I assumed the obstruction angle was always going to be looked at.

I hope he also investigates comeys leaks while he is at it.

As I have said before, I will wait to see how the investigation ends up before I judge it.

Trump stopped training and arming rebels in Syria to fight Russia. Why isn't Mueller looking into that?

Mueller is a partisan hack who is trying to dig up dirt on Trump using the cover of an investigation.

The Democrats are sick!

The MSM is STILL on the "Russians" thing I see.

What possible connections can there be from the "Russians" meeting in the White House and James Comey being fired ?

We know already that Comey admitted leaking information.

And we have not seen any "Advantages" for Russia coming from any Trump actions.

I wasn't aware that Rosenstien had been interviewed
Any ideas as to the ... breadth ... of the questioning ?

It'd be interesting to know if
"So tell us, Rod, what's your take on "the memo thing" ?"
was on the table

Manafort, Rosenstein .. junior ... Kushner
All have been interviewed
We'll see i suppose

Documents from the W/H though
Sounds pretty significant to me
Another piece to add to the puzzle

Donnie did keep official notes i hope
huh ? hey guys ?

It'd be a bit suspicious otherwise

Too bad we have people that want to waste time on witch hunts instead of actually focusing on fixing America. This is all a part of trying to bog down the Trump administration in BS so they can't make America great again.

Yeah wasting money on witch hunts like investigating Hillary up the ying yang and back again right?

You'd just rather they ignore what Russia did?
Or do you think Russia didn't do anything?

If this is true, it occurs to me that Mueller is trying to dig up any information he can on Trump's intent. That is what an obstruction charge would hinge upon.

That's the same way I felt about the Benghazi nonsense. Complete witch hunt.

This, on the other hand, is not a witch hunt. There are very valid reasons to investigate this matter. We cannot allow a sitting president to set the precedent that it is acceptable to fire IC officials simply because they are investigating matters close to the president. That is a sign of corrupt leadership and should not be tolerated.
