Obvious is obvious.

That the world needs religion control?

I agree.

But what about the freedom of religion? Our constitutional right?

If this was a terror attack, isn't that the kind of reaction they are hoping for?

Political terrorism doesn't usually target children.

If it is the most likely suspect, then it's not political. It's theological, as politically incorrect as it is to point that out.

Reports on ground in #Manchester police are moving people/media back for fear of a second suspect device - controlled explosion expected

This is so sickening. I can't follow it anymore. I know who it was. I'm not going to pretend it's not. I would pray for the victims but I'd much rather avenge their deaths. Kids, children who don't give a rats ass about religion. They were just going to see a singer they loved. Cowards, snuffed out their lives. I hope that the most brutal retribution is brought down upon the heads of those responsible.

What bout it ?

Religion should be treated EXACTLY like boom sticks.

Can't have it both ways.

Anyone else listening to this guy on BBC News

Its really shocking, he was searching through the bodies looking for his wife and kid.

That is horrifying. This one made me sicker than most. Targeting children at a concert.

I am trying really hard not to jump to the easy conclusion and getting angry about it, but it is hard when I read things like that.

I can understand. I commend you for resisting the impulse to knee-jerk.

It's the UK. It's a concert. A bomb or bombs went off. Unless some other faction is in play or the UK is going to be known for concert bombs like the US is for school shootings, then the obvious duck is an obvious duck.

I'll call a duck a duck and say it will soon be reported as being claimed by some extremist Muslim group.

That would add some credence to the earlier report that the bomb disposal squad was deployed - though that could be standard practice I suppose.

False sense of security.

It makes you feel safe to think they are always watching, but that's all they're doing. As we can see, what good are cameras when the actions they see and are designed to deter are still taking place?

Like the above poster said. . . children at a concert.

It makes me ####ing sick.

Shouldn't make a difference whether it's kids or adults at a concert to be honest

Murder is murder regardless of age

I think many of us hold women and children in a different light than men.

You're right that it's murder, regardless, but it's harder to swallow when it's women or kids.

The actual implications of that are actually quite worrying.

That means that there are most likely 2 attackers which then also suggests some coordination.

Given that there are also now reports of Armed police arresting a guy in a car near by this is starting to look like its not a lone wolf attack.

I think you missed the point.

No matter. I do not want to derail this thread with a discussion with you.

Let's talk about the facts, as they come, and leave it at that.

And there it is ... the reason why they were attacked. We will all be made to care or die. That's the ideology we're up against.

*if* it is the most likely suspect. It could still be someone of their rocker. We don't know yet.

Really? I hadn't noticed.

And Im talking about an aspect of this event.

Cameras being an aspect.

Like in seeing what happened.
The how.
Maybe the who.

And maybe the cameras can track back and help the police find out more info.

But, thanks again for reminding me of what this thread was.
I'd have been lost without your info.

The problem with Islam Extremism is that it is state supported by many counties that think they can control it and hornest the hatred for their benifits. What they fail to see is that the hatred they foster will usually backfire after it consumes everyone else. Until we can seperate religion (especially religions that cannot coexits with others) from government and vice versa, we will keep seeing incidents like these.
