Late to the thread and only saw the news scroll on the TV while at the local hotdog shop a little bit a go.

Can someone give me a current update on what we know so I don't have to read the entire thread?

Thanks in advance.

Explosion at a concert, some reports of 20 dead, early days but looking like terrorism. I would bet 10 000 pounds it is NOT Irish Republicans.

I know very well where you are going with that.

I'm not going to jump to any conclusions and will wait to hear facts.

It's called DETERRENCE.

And we can see how it has worked all these years, right?

We haven't targeted families yet. What are you talking about? The free world needs to start killing family members of terrorists. It's the only thing they care about.

I could be wrong, but didn't this happen in the country where there is a camera on every corner?
If not everywhere else?

I'm guessing it should be soon that we get video footage from all the surveillance cameras?

Right?

Police now saying that they are dealing with a possible terrorist incident.

Seems really quite likely just now

Any word on a COBRA meeting yet?

Correct. Terrorism. Radical Islamic. ( ISIS.) All the hallmarks.

Radical Islamic terrorism right now seems the most likely.

However i would point out that in the UK we have threats from other terrorist entities such as Irish republicans and nationalists. So yeah i agree that as this develops we are probably going to find out that this has been a act of Islamic terrorism however I am going to keep a open mind for now

The best way to stop these attacks is to kill members of the terrorist's families. Harsh...but it's the only thing they care about.

Kill innocent people because someone killed innocent people? C'mon now, that's horrible logic.

If the bomber was stopped by security, there is no guarantee that the bomber and the security personnel didn't end up as casualties.

Agree somewhat - although not all Irish Republicans are terrorism-minded or agree with the paramilitary wing. I do think though it is possible one of the paramilitaries could have been involved - there are elections coming up soon and what with brexit and the failed independence bid in Scotland.

I stress could.

We can't really jump to conclusions whether it was ISIS or some fundamantalist or sectarian attack until we have all the facts.

Most cameras in the UK are privetly operated, can't quite remember the exact number though.

I don't really see what this has to do with anything.

If you put a bomb in a bag then no camera is going to spot it.

The CCTV might help put together what actually happened though.

Doing something about it is what honor's them, silence is what you give them when that is all that they have now.

Your post isn't 'doing' anything. Sometimes it's best to wait for more information. Fact is, whoever is responsible is evil. No need for flippant memes.

Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls, and ask the ghosts if honor matters. Their silence is your answer.

You forget other instances of terrorism not by ISIS. And not all the hallmarks of ISIS anyway because they use various methods.

Can't blame people for thinking that first.

Between how to make a pressure cooker bomb in their moms kitchen.

Other plots have come to light.

Like blowing up ports with fuel tankers, and contaminating western food supplies.

The entire west is a target.

That is horrifying. This one made me sicker than most. Targeting children at a concert.

Takes time to collect camera footage.

And analyse what's what. Looks pretty chaotic.
