As a bit of context.

Files such as the one referenced will often times contain enough 'plausible deniability' in the form of bogus items to mask the true items within. One has to be very careful when considering the content of such.

Comey declining the invitation is interesting in light of other recent events.

Wondering if a subpoena is in the works?

Looks like old news anyway. The timing just struck me as odd.

Yes, Grassley just stalled out the CIA nominations because they were
Ignoring his requests.

Seems there was a backed up sewer that someone is trying to unplug.

Maybe they ( IC community ) all "love their jobs" a bit too much.

That file kind of reminds me of this:

You're right, that is chancy and creepy.

I would imagine if he just refuses all invites, they have
little choice? Also much of the content of such a hearing
Would need to be behind closed doors, can't see a public
hearing first, unless Comey wants to grandstand.

You know what'll happen. He'll be subpoenaed and plead the 5th and crawl back under his rock ... just like Lois Lerner and we'll pay him for the privilege until he dies.

"I can't recall." does not seem his style...

He says it like this:

"I can't comment on that"

Now that he is no longer an agent, it will be highly
interesting to hear his excuse...

He might just do that, so goes mr forthright's reputation.

They sure like to drag things out.

Not before he writes a best-selling book of course.

Or he'll take a nice job as a lobbyist or think tank consultant while drawing his pension ... or he'll become the president of some university somewhere.

Was he allowed to clean out his desk? Maybe not! His office where he kept The Clinton files, and where he kept the files on 9/11?

those kind of files and evidence would not be allowed to be taken out of a secured area, director or not.

Is this a stall tactic, or will he have to be subpoenaed?

comey is/was a lawyer before he became fbi director, and had worked in the DOJ most of his life. he knows what games he can play and what he can't. he's probably waiting waiting for a subpoena, then will plead the fifth. seeing how he is not in any position of influence now.

Good points, I wonder if Trumps tweet about
"Taped" recordings had anything to do with this?

Hmmmmmmm could be ...........

Take a look at prior activity while at HSBC bank and certain financial transfers to the CF.

As well, Maccabe's statements were misleading, rank and file agents voted overwhelmingly for Mike Rogers as the new Director.

I've not seen a summer this Kool since 69.

Everyday this looks more solid. Great work there J&C

Mc Cabe acknowledged there were agents that were angry
Hillary was not prosecuted. Hopefully the dominoes fall

I think Mr.Comey knew that Clinton/Lynch/Obama would fail.

I think he reopened that case honestly.

I doubt he needs the Fifth.

He will wait for the subpoena.

He was sacked for "Failure Because Influenced"
