Iconic Star Wars Actress Carrie Fisher Dies at 60

She has died RIP . She was only 60 That is way to young. I had her poster on my wall when I was a kid.

At least we got to see her play Leia one more time.

amily spokesman Simon Halls released a statement on behalf of Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd:

“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” reads the statement.

“She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”

Fisher was flying from London to Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 23, when she went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics removed her from the flight and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for a heart attack. She later died in the hospital.

Yes , its called millions of people die every year around the world.

Like with anyone that is loved by others, for whatever reasons, this will make people sad so hopefully those people find some small measure of peace soon.

You can't be down that long at 60 and be useful after. A lot of my friends thought she would recover; that was never going to happen.

CPR is for the young and for people that you can ROSC on the first cycle that you saw go down seconds before.

For everyone else it's torture and bad outcomes.

I was just a kid, but thought she was so beautiful when I seen Star Wars for the first time.

Not just anybody in any movie. This was Princess Leia a lot of us grew up with her in our fantasies. It makes me feel so old.
