I'll be honest, I remember you mentioning that you were working with Diane Lane and I had a look to see what she was up to.... So which is it? "Felt" or "Paris Can Wait"?

I teach/train people to work with folks who are disabled.

All facets of the job.

I keep up with all of the employee's annual training as required by the State and assign, instruct and monitor.

And the other duties that I have been 'roped' into, such as billing for medical transportation etc.

The part that I love is molding/mentoring young people into staff that can appreciate their own value and worth and see past the disabilities in others to be able to form a bond with the folks that they support on a daily basis.

I dare say that some of those 'friendships' are lifelong ones!

I know that I did (form that bond) and it was life changing, for me.

It actually helped me in my personal relationships (the education) as my own Mother had a developmental type of disability and I was better able to understand where she was coming from later.

Nothing nearly exciting as the movie biz but certainly satisfying in some respects.

I saw it all hahahah

Wow you really must have a deep understanding of people and how they function in a world with a disability. I am sure your work is rewarding. Going thru life with a disability can be a challenge, with the right people training others can make a big difference in the lives of others.

I appreciate you for your job role in being a leader. As for medical transport billing is that a challenge?

It all changed (the codes) from ICD 9 to ICD 10.

In theory, it opened up a broad new spectrum of options as far as billing for specific visits and conditions or diagnosis.

In reality, it created a nightmare of having to search for the 'specific' correct visit reason, condition or diagnosis.

Gotta love government!

Whenever you hear the words 'this will make life easier'...duck and run!

I know about IDC 9 coding. The X has a HHA and bills Medicare. Home Heath Care Agency and Medicare makes it super hard to get paid plus the cuts.

Truth is, I wrote that some time ago and had it sitting around.

I was shocked that so many folks thought it was about dying (suicide). I mean, I suppose it is in a sense about dying but not a sad death. Does that make any sense? It is almost a release/relief.

Anyway, I am so glad that so many did enjoy it!
