The last time I talked to a producer was back in 1996-ish.

I've been looking seriously into self-publishing also - for the novel.

I know...but as we get more experience, perhaps they will give us a piece of the "below the line" action, just to get it made.

I have several. One revolves around foster care abuse -
one is about horse traders - one is a teleplay for the old 30-something show....

The novel is about pre-English Civil War when Charles I was the King. Oliver Cromwell's time....the pilgrims, etc.
The Church of England vs Catholics, criminals, piracy on the high seas, etc.

The producer I spoke to and showed my horse-trade script said it was good to go, but I needed to do another revamp to make it a "family film" rather than the action-drama that it is.

I wasn't willing to do that; I had already rewritten it twice (Richard Walter was my professor and recommended a pro edit guy - I polished the thing to a high shine. I didn't want to "soften it up" for the producer (George somebody, who was a friend of my mule-riding buddy). So it languishes.

Severe Weather!!! One of my favorite, favorite things....

I actually figured out how to use my phone to make a vid and then switch to pics - took pics of my house ext and interior -
finally!!! Yeah - it's green outside (the air, that is - everything takes on a green hue when tornadoes and hail come)

Love it!


The local news are telling everyone "GO DOWNSTAIRS! GET IN THE BASEMENT OR THE TUB!"

Yeah, but here in these parts - if you've ever seen one, you know you'd hear it coming long before it arrives....

I took some vids, and then some pics. How exciting!! (My beloved Dad never got to see one, though Lord knows he tried - he would always run out onto the porch when the sirens went off....the rest of us cowered in the basement, terrified, clutching the pets.....)

When I finally did see one, I realized we would hear it long before it arrived....
the horses herded us down the hill - it was very exciting......

huge 1/2 mile swath of devastation missed us by only 1/4 mile.
