I have a pathological fear of teddy bears...

Well, that's a bit of an overstatement, but I hate stuffed animals. Never liked them even as a child.

I believe that the idea of these contests is not just to create great stories, but to develop our imaginations and creativity!

I wrote the story, (well, typed it! LOL) and then thought that it might work better as an "Audiobook"
(...as if we were actually there - hearing the story being told by the camp-fire!)

I believe that fits in very well with the challenge that Swanne set for us?

Edit to add:
"Fear of stuffed animals and teddies?" argghh - sorry! I didn't know that.
That can't be much fun at all.

Oh, I definitely think it's a great format. I was just wary of doing something like this because it's not a traditional written story. Personally, I wanted to add in images, perhaps with writing overlaid on top.
(My voice isn't cut out for narration, sadly.)

Awwwwww! How sweet! I have a very old, rather patched together teddy, so worn and threadbare and repaired that she looks a bit scary. I passed her onto my youngest, and she's still watching over him while he sleeps.

That is awesome!!!! Love the whole thing, and reading it aloud, with that accent, chills!! Amazing entry, and love the ending as well.

Had one I considered real as a kid. I was sure he would come to life and rip apart/eat anyone that came in the house and tried to bother me!
