In my opinion, better than the Nick Cave version.

This one better than Neil Diamond.

*CranialSponge goes back to grumbling about Metallica murdering the classic tune Breadfan*

*plays the original Breadfan song in retribution to Klassified for bringing such horrifying news to her attention*

*Hangs head in shame*

You realize there are only two Budgie fans left in the world. You and me. lol.

I know it was listed on page 1 but I'm putting this out there again..For me any cover list starts with one of the greatest and most visceral songs ever...Just a great classic sound ..House of the Rising Sun by The Animals..

Bear McCreary covering All Along The Watchtower , Hendrix version. Such a key part to BSG, it basically was the heart of the 2k series and every time I watch this video I want to watch the whole series again.

Opeth covering Soldier of Fortune by Deep Purple

Opeth covering Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower

Type O Negative covering Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath

Danzig covering Crying In the Rain by The Everly Brothers

This is a cover of a Jimmy Cox song, written in 1923 during the Depression.
Clapton does it better. Clapton makes everything a little better.

Johnny Cash did a cover of this Nine Inch Nails song and even they said he did it better.

Although I really like the original version by Depeche Mode this cover of Mad World by Gary Jules is killer:

I hate to correct anyone, but the original version of " Mad World " was by Tears For Fears. Depeche Mode never covered that song.

Back on topic, here's my contribution. Tom Petty did a fair cover of this Thunderclap Newman song.

I know, I realized that after the edit window closed when the song came on Sirius.

That was an amazing song, I had forgotten about that.

Unfortunatley it is 7.30am on christmas day and I think I would be unpoular blasting it out at the level of volume it deserves

I LOVE Matchbox Twenty's version of this song! They rarely do it live and be seen them a dozen times and have yet to see this live! I cry every time I hear this version.
