Report: Russian Marines have now engaged ISIS fighters in direct combat

Looks like it is heating up and ISIS is attacking the Russian bases in Syria. If this is true, hope the Russians got a lot of them.

According to Russian news website, Segodnia, ISIS militants attempted to ambush the Russian soldiers stationed at the base but were fought off by the Russian marines, with a number of ISIS fighters being killed and some captured.

Russian military activity has been increasing at the airbase near Latakia over recent days with the arrival of new and advanced Russian fighter jets, according to reports.

Make those captives sing like birds, it would be game changer if the real faces behind ISIS etc gets really exposed to whole wide world, perhaps this madness could be finally ended and real criminals hunted down but its kinda unlikely, before that many things might happen to keep the truth hidden. But one can hope..

Assad's forces are full of sympathizers for both the rebels and ISIS. Anything the Russians do ISIS will know almost right away. This is not going to be pleasant for the Russian's.

I am guessing that Russia vs the world order was not in the original work order authorized by world order. If anyone askes me why I feel unthreatened by the idea of a Russian influence on global affairs, the answer is because it amuses me.

We'll know its serious if/when the Russians bring in their Cossack Mercs. From what I understand, in Georgia for example and Ukraine, the Russians send in the Cossack mercenaries to do "suppression" work; the mercenaries round up the city/village leaders and cap them in front of the townspeople after storming the location. They are then followed up by the Russian "Regulars" who blow everything up after stealing anything of value. ISIS wouldn't have a prayer against the Mercenaries who are as bloodthirsty and ruthless as ISIS is. But against the Russian regular army? ISIS wouldn't have a lot of trouble.

For all that stated above.....I rather seriously doubt this report. For one thing, the Rusky bases are on the coast; I doubt ISIS has any fighters that far west.

It looks like it may be Russia who saves the world from this evil despicable force, ISIS, as it saved the world from the Nazis in WWII.

While Obama dithers while one of the most evil forces in history runs rampant Russia is stepping up to reality.


Of course Russia like in WWII aren’t saints but at least they are doing what must be done something Obama doesn’t understand unless he is under orders directly to do nothing, a likely proposition.


If there was ever a war where it is justified it is against an evil force like ISIS where the world should unite and destroy it.

Even the antiwar liberals are wrong on this one.

Give me a break. ISIS would have trouble against a troop of boy scouts given rifles. Most ISIS fighters are literally people influenced by a cool beheading video. They have no training. Just mass US supplied weapons.

Combat between Russian forces and ISIS militants marks a drastic increase in the level of conflict in Syria, adding an even greater international aspect to it as well. With Russia now openly providing the Assad government with missiles, missile defense systems, advisers, helicopters, satellite imagery, and fighter jets (particularly those being flown by Russian pilots), the Russians now stand directly in opposition to the United States pilots, jet fighters, and special forces operatives on the ground in Syria supporting the death squads (even if the official U.S. line is publicly opposed to ISIS and supportive of “moderate” cannibals).

Thus, we now have the growing potential for direct military confrontation between the two major world powers, both of them armed with nuclear weapons.

The United States has supported terrorists in Syria since the very beginning of the conflict while the Russians have provided tangential but growing support for the secular government of Bashar al-Assad.

Once again, the US of A looks to be incompetent or evil, maybe both. I think Obama needs to go on another world apology tour. Very soon.

So Obama who had a plan to take out Assad with the Free Syrian Army and the Kurds, then did what? Got Assad to let out radicals to cause trouble for the FSA who in the mean linked up with former comrades in Iraq and created ISIS who then avoided attacking Assad and double teamed the Rebels and the Kurd pushing them back and ruining their advance on Assad, only to then also attack Assad. Then Obama starts bombing ISIS? What kind of plan is that? ISIS pretty much screwed Obama's plans. Where would you get a silly idea like this at?

Oh, I don't know...selling weapons from Libya to ISIS in Syria might be a first hint....greeting members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House might be another.

While the Egyptian people kicked out the islamist Muslim Brotherhood, Obama pushes for them to be put back in power.
