Sagging pants have long been a symbol of anti-authority, anti-America, and criminality.

The practice started in American prisons and has enabled a "convict" mentality to spread from inside of prisons to the outside world.

Every single day gangbangers and criminals rape, murder, and rob wearing this uniform.

I'm tired of people claiming they want to end oppression when all they really want is to be the oppressors.

I'm tired of people claiming the want to end exploitation when all they really want is to do the exploiting.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I always thought sagging pants were a symbol and sign of lost weight. But I guess its okay if you want Walmart to stop selling them too. If you want to encourage obesity and skinny jeans.

Why is it okay to condemn the flag because racists used the flag. . .

. . . . . yet it is bad to condemn Islam when terrorists use Islam?

There are more municipal laws banning sagging pants than flags last I checked.

And the world hates us because of our freedoms...

Sagging pants have long been a symbol of anti-authority, anti-America, and criminality.

Not criminal, but civil disobedient, against the status quo. My generations response to some adult always telling us to pull our pants up.

'Pull up your pants!', was an insult demeaning kids of a certain generation that didn't or wouldn't wear belts, suspenders and ties. Same with crew cuts. The damn starched collar, white button down dress shirt, slide rule. pencil necked engineer geeks of the pre hippy generation became parents and we despised them. So we let our hair grow, took off the ties, put on t shirts, and holy, low hung blue jeans.

Nyah!

Allegedly, the fashion statement came from the 1980's US prison system. It was worn by prison "Bitches" as sign of ownership by another inmate!

Urban legend says its worn now in Prison to show your availability to other inmates but in fact is now worn this way by gangs opposing authority in prisons and the streets.

But it's origins are homosexual in nature and if these kidz knew that, I think it would sort the issue over night.

Except they just released a study that skinny jeans can cause nerve and muscle damage to the wearers.

I have to say that when I saw the title for your thread I laughed. I couldn't help it. It's just funny.
I agree, the sagging pants and thug life thing annoys me to no end. If you want respect, act respectable.

I always understood it as a way to conceal objects.

If one has baggy cloths it is much easier to hide the outline of objects such as bottles, guns, drugs, ect.

I just got done reading through the thread. I am completely amazed that the majority of the posters did not recognize your tongue in cheek approach .

My opinion of you has leapt immeasurably because of the wit you have shown in this thread .

You get my highest compliment .

Sure.

Cause saggy pants are hilariously more important than one of the most significant periods of American history.
