I don't think anyone ever claimed chemotherapy has no side effects.

If you don't like this kind of treatment you can refuse it. There is no conspiracy around this.

I along with a number of ATS members would be dead had it not been for chemo and radiotherapy.we are the ones still around to tell the tale. Not seen any members who survived using alternative treatments. Lots of friends of friends or heard of this guy or woman anecdotes. If you want I can show you a scan of the hoax growing in my brain from a few years ago

edit: how yeah it reminds me, refined sugar is really bad and helping cancer develop so most people should really remove that crap from their diet as much as possible.

Not just refined sugar but all carbs. Refined sugar is sucrose (glucose and fructose). Natural "virgin" sugar is still sucrose molecules.

The problem is related to intracellular metabolic pathway of ALL carbohydrates. In the end it produce simple sugar molecules like glucose, fructose and ...

The studies I saw were on the subject of lowering blood glucose content to starve the anaerobic glycolysis of cancerous cells. And using differents metabolic pathways to nourish normal healthy cells.

You are correct.

If I'm ever diagnosed with cancer the first thing I'll do is remove all sugar from my diet.

I'm not sure if it would be enough.

My opignion is that it may be an excellent prevention measure. But to cure it, it's another story... The problem is that the human body still continue to synthesise glucose in blood even if you eat ZERO carbs at all. This is gluconeogenesis, making glucose from fat or protein. However, reducing glucose blood level may slowdown cancer growth enough to give some chance to immune system or conventionnal treatments to work.

The papers I saw were speculating on using some medications to block gluconeogenesis. And being already adapted to a ketogenic diet were protecting the patient against hypoglycemia.

I stopped the video at 4 minutes as soon as the name Burzynsky came out. I could tell you he has no formal training in oncology, he has no medical board certification for oncology, that he has been taken to court for fraud by families, that he has been taken to court for destroying patients records, that he has also made millions out of people's desperation (not much different than Big Pharma)...

BUT I will not, I will simply ask you to show me where he has published his research, evidence that he really is curing people.

I know, not saying it would cure it. Just slow it.

If I ever get a cancer that can be treated that way I would like to be treated by one of the machines our company is building. But honestly I hope I will never need this.

Maybe we are getting off topic, but can you elaborate on such machines operation?

Personally those LINAC things make me a little wary. I would prefer the ketogenic diet and the gluconeogenesys blockers. By the way I'm already on a very low carb diet, so no sugar for me (most of the time).

As said before, check somes of my others threads. My spouse is already on a very severe ketogenic diet since well over 1 year. The results have been remarquable.

Cancer is a HOAX. So as many other things. The search for the cure for cancer conducted by the so called mainstream scientific research is a scam. Cancer has always been curable by many methods. Chemotherapy is a legalize experimentation/use of hazardous chemicals/radiation on the human body. Most cancer patients die due to the effects of the therapy rather than from the cancer itself.

I don't need to invest the viewing time to tell you that you are spreading frightening disinformation, with possibly deadly consequences. My prostate cancer was cured by radiation. My skin cancer was cured by surgery. Certainly the former, if not caught and treated early on, would have killed me. If you are not yourself a cancer survivor, you have nothing to say on the subject. Stop spreading bull#.

I guess my prediction is correct, not even one watched the entire video.

It's nearly 2 hours long and the bottom line of it is that 'cancer is a hoax'.
Of course no one is going to bother wasting 2 hours of their life like that.
We all know for a fact that cancer is real.
I've had two different cancers and my husband has had cancer.
One sister-in-law had it twice and another one has it at this time.
CANCER IS REAL.

The attempt at a cure with chemo may or may not be.
People can debate that. But saying cancer isn't real? BAH!

My stepfather died of stomach cancer after several operations. It wasn't pleasant for him to experience or for me to watch as a witness.

No-one will ever convince me that was a hoax.

Lol, you must watch a 2 hour video before responding....

Most on this site are part of the "party"?

Cancer is real, my cousin survived it as a child, I physically saw the swelling in his lymph nodes.

Which is where he had it.

This form of cancer is highly lethal.

Reiley children's hospital in Indianapolis saved his life!!!

I went through exactly the same with the lower lymph nodes.Quick response by specialists saved my life. They got me into the hospital almost immediately and removed them . Yes cancer does exist . And yes the treatment depends on what type and what stage the cancer is . I dont like to watch videos or listen to the "foolishness" some people proclaim for obvious reasons.Unfortunately I have lived it . Please ,if any others on here are ever diagnosed with cancer seek treatment from a specialist immediately. And make sure any growth or spot on the skin is also diagnosed properly . Please do not say oh it will go away.
And I am so glad to hear of another person surviving this as well

don't say that around an oncologist, they might have a reason to correct your assumptions.

btw; cancer has been around for a long long time.

a reply to: masqua I think calling cancer a hoax is just demeaning and offensive to the people who have had it or lost close ones to it. I know for sure it's no hoax. No medical proffesional would put people through such a traumatic experience for a hoax. People have a very warped opinion on cancer on ats. You'll never know how you will respond until you hear a diagnosis or see the effects on those closest to you.

3 family members affected myself.

And I did a 3rd year biology module histology module focusing on cancer cells. I have seen a variety of cancers up close and on dozens of MRI's

Certainly not a hoax and this thread should go in the hoax bin.
