I'm not saying Obama is right in saying this, but really? How quickly people forget how AIDS was ignored for years and there were over 50,000 dead right here in the US before Regan even acknowledged it. 50,000 Dead millions infected. Yeah! Nuff said.
Ebola then spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids.
"Well Timmy did it too!" LOL

Well that was then and this is now. When are people going to hold Obama responsible for his actions instead of justifying his poor decisions by bringing to light errors of past leaders? I mean really, if he commits another Watergate do we justify it and look the other way because Nixon got busted for it? Just because an error was committed by a previous leader doesn’t give Obama Carte Blanc to commit wrong things. We’re supposed to be moving ahead, not stagnating in criminal or stupid leaders.
We'll let you test the theory.

Hate to be the one to say this, but Obama is correct. You can't catch ebola just by sitting next to someone that has it.
The WHO says this:
Ebola then spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids.
So unless the infected person transfers bodily fluids on to the the person or the seat, the uninfected person would be fine...correct?
Resume outrage...........

First, Ebola is not spread through the air like the flu,” Obama explained in the video released by the White House Thursday. “You cannot get it through casual contact like sitting next to someone one a bus. You cannot get it from another person until they start showing symptoms of the disease, like fever.” Obama also explained that “the most common way you can get Ebola is by touching the body fluids of someone who is sick or has died from it, like their sweat, saliva or blood, or through a contaminated item like a needle.”
Hey I'm all for you testing his theory about riding the bus next to an Ebola victim for say 20 miles. How about a crowded subway in NYC with the patient 5 inches from your face like at rush hour? How technical do you want to get?

Would you like to comment on what I said?
Technically speaking, it appears Obama would be correct.
Right?
Yeah ok ........ where's the  emoticon when you REALLY NEED IT?

Obama Is a stupid man.
I think he said that to play mind games. If he told the truth, no one would listen. By saying such a stupid thing, now he has the whole world listening. And they are saying the opposite of what he said. Obama is a very intelligent person, funny how many of you here really don't see what is really going on with his messeges. Make it to where everything he says is a lie and then everyone talks about it and it gets more attention. Pretty smart dude he is. Now if he'd only ban flight to and from Africa.

But if you are just sitting next to someone with Ebola it doesn't mean you will catch it.

More likely, yes. But if you are just sitting next to someone with Ebola it doesn't mean you will catch it.
Let's be honest here. This is yet ANOTHER attempt to take something Obama said out of context just to bash him....or what I like to call, circle-jerk threads.
If you want to bash Obama for some of his actions and policies, I'll probably agree. But the real facepalm here are the comments in the thread.....not what Obama said.
ETA:
This is what was said in the source piece:

Yup, he's right.
