In light of the latest AMA with the producer of the movie, Alien Abduction, I'm gonna head up to Brown Mountain, view the lights, and possibly camp out overnight. Anyone interested in coming and Denying Ignorance with me?

AWESOME! I wish I could be there. It would be so much fun. I haven't been on a good investigation in years now. If you go, take some dowsing rods. Lemme' know what happens. I'd love to know if there are lay lines there. Dowsing rods pick up what can't be seen .... and they also tell you the opposite .... if nothing is there.

I'm sure that's preaching to the choir. I'm sure you already know that.

Have a great investigation and take pics ....

Hi HomerinNC

According to Matty the Brown Mountain lights are seen during the months of Sept - December.

Hey Homer too bad I'm about 7 to 7 hours north
of you because I would definitely show up.
I have family in Asheville NC & in Kingsport TN but it
will be awhile before I come down again.
I will let you know when I come down & maybe we can
visit Brown Mountain.

Cheers
Ektar

Homer? You be careful now.

I watched that movie and it seems very likely that you could be abducted by greasy yellow aliens, crushed up and used for weird dental experiments.

I would take your dog, they send those back and don't even mess with their teeth. You could mount a camera on the dog.

Dude I didn't know they filmed Hunger Games there, that's
awesome! Many films are filmed in the area, it's cheaper or used
to be since the film company or whoever doesn't have to pay
Hollywood union guys. From what I was told when I lived in Asheville
was that Steven Speilberg has a studio in Asheville area.

I'm a musician & heard that from other pro musicians.

Can't wait to hear how your weekend goes & I hope others join you!

Cheers
Ektar

I think the 1st movie I heard being filmed in the area was
"Last of the Mohicans"?

Maybe your post hasn't been up long enough for other
members to jump on your wagon yet. I Bloody wish I could
come...I just left there due to a death in the family but I might
have stayed for a night or 2 for an exciting adventure to help
ease the pain.

I lived in Mars Hill & the exit was the one to Mount Mitchell...
so pretty close, not sure how close to Brown Mountain.

Cheers
Ektar
