A mysterious object found on beach Maldives Baarah

The MNDF spokesperson major Hussein Ali reported that they are now looking into this "unknown" object that had washed up onto Baarah Island. He did not give details.

While some of the islanders speculate this unknown object to be a sea mine, others imagine it as another form of an explosive.

This object is to small to be a sea mine, would it be related to the mystery of MH370? my guess is yes.
This object really looks like a fire extinguisher from a plane, Cargo area.

That really looks like something that would be inside a satellite, or other space thingy.

There are several extinguishers used, most have mounting plates, but the ones in the cargo area do not.
That is why i think it is an extinguisher from the cargo area

I wonder how long it would take for somthing like that to float from, oh i dont know, say Malaysia?

With the right sea currents and if it's floating it could travel relatively fast, but it is a long way and would be very unusual as it would have to be picked up by different current directions.

Do you have a link to the source? because i have not heard of bodies washed ashore anywhere.

From what I see, In the area of the Maldives the currents are east to west. Just below the equator they move west to east. Farther south, east to west again.

The plane was spotted near the Maldives so that's the most likely place it was put into the ocean. Why are they looking a thousand miles to the south? If it went I the ocean, that is.

Man I know I posted about it probably last week maybe. A lot of us commented on it. It had a picture of wild dogs getting at it. I think most here pretty much wrote it off.

The natives told the police, but I don't recall hearing much more about it after that. I have posted so much in this thread it would take me awhile to go back and find it, but I'm sure others here remember it. A search would probably bring it up for you.

Maybe after my company leaves I'll take a look if someone else hasn't done so all ready.
