PressTV - Russia accuses Ukraine of committing genocide

Russia still demanding Ukraine cancel its elections.

US slams Russia as Ukraine war fears rise

Slavyansk - The United States accused Russia of plotting to annex more of Ukraine's territory via a "bogus" referendum as President Vladimir Putin rejected a new peace initiative ahead of talks with the pan-European OSCE.

Western leaders, including French President Francois Hollande, warned that skirmishing in Ukraine's east could trigger all-out civil war and see a 25 May presidential poll as crucial to hauling the country back from the brink.

But pro-Moscow rebels plan their own vote on Sunday in the eastern cities of Donetsk and Luhansk, which US Secretary of State John Kerry said mirrored what happened with Ukraine's Crimea peninsula in March when it voted to join Russia.

"This is really the Crimea playbook all over again, and no civilised nation is going to recognise the results of such a bogus effort," Kerry told reporters.

"We flatly reject this illegal effort to further divide Ukraine.

"We are not going to sit idly by while Russian elements fan the flames of instability instead of fulfilling the commitments that we made," Kerry added, insisting that Putin was "calling all the shots".

Russia is still running that Nazi campaign - his comments are better in the original german.

Nice false accusation there. I guess when NATO says they are planning for permanent troop presence in eastern Europe that will make you warm and fuzzy right?

this slurr of news is just confusing, I can't cope anymore whats true, whats not and whats really happening :/
I heard today in the radio, that Russia would participate in peace talks, if the seperatists/rebels/Pro-Russian (I despise the term terrorist here...) are included in the talks. And I remember, that Russia refused the first peace talks in Geneva because the ukrainian government was involved, which wasn't "legitimate" in the russian view.
But those pro-russian protesters aren't legitimate in any way too, that's just confusing.

I don't understand the russian position anymore...

The current government in Kiev was elected by the Ukrainian people back at the end of 2012.

The current government in Kiev was not elected but overthrown by armed thugs at the Ukrainian Parliament.

I dont think Putin understands the Russian position its flipped more than a stack of pancakes. You know its bad when his own government puts out information showing the Crimea elections were a fraud. Im really think hes beginning to lose it. I used to think he planed everything now as this crises went on hes managed to accomplish everything he didnt want to happen. To tell you the truth im shocked i expected more from him really. But my first clue he wasnt who he pretended to be is when he refused to step down when he couldnt run again huge red flag. But as the old saying goes absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Hopefully hell realize he made a mistake but im thinking thats not in his personality.I think this is going to end badly for alot of people best case scenario it only efect Russia worst it effects the world however short that may be.

Just splurring my own take? You want to a source? have you seen what has being going lately? Or seen the current map of Europe NATO is expanding further into eastern parts and western actions in Kiev are more proof of that by installing an government in power through a coup.

If those internet sources are true then i am sure Crimea elections were a fraud. And that there were elections in Kiev held by the peacefully skin heads and old man protesting with fire arms. Forcing the current elected government out of the country.

From the Guardian.
"A new interior ministry law enforcement group called Storm would be used to guard many public buildings, according to Katerinchuk."
Storm doesn't sound like fascism at all Right Xcathdra? but yet it does.

The Kiev regime is condemned for bringing neo-Nazis into government, and their response is to create a new police group called "Storm"?

I believe heard that same line how Putin lost Iran and Syria during the protests in 2011, i can see the same propaganda being played here which is not surprising by suggesting that Putin lost and NATO the peaceful good guys won? dont count on it.

By the way your source isnt very reliable. But hey go on agree with the German Fascists.

You mean Crimea..

The government in Kiev, members of Parliament, were elected in 2012.

Is there any reason you are now ignoring Russian media on the 2012 results? Feel free to see who was elected in 2012 and compare that to the very same people in Parliament now.

Or are you that determined to ignore any facts that don't support Russia?

That's because the Russian position is based on the schizophrenic mind of Putin, who has stated conflicting justifications since this mess started and has failed to provide evidence to support any of them.
