Wow, what a new life those old pieces are having!

Actually, it made me think about why not do it to a proper antique! That's like one of arts rules, look at the famous Ai WeiWei photo's of him dropping a Ming Dynasty Vase said to be worth around 1 million!

What a moment in modern art!

Cool music vid Olaru! Have you gone through an art's school of some sort, or self taught?

Hey Gordi and welcome! Check out the kid drummer in the 46 and 2 youtube video i posted in this thread somewheres, you've got to appreaciate the time signatures/changes and this kid just nails it, especially in the solo near the end! I've sold my drum kit in the last few months and replaced it with a NI Maschine, have you tried drumming on one?

And to give some artsy inspiration, for today I will plonk in this work by Roman (forgot his last name now!) but anyway, this video clip/animation and music was done as a solo project and it really is magical! (especially nearer to the end when things get weird, but a beautiful kind of weird). Peaceful way to start your coffee, or end a night

Thank you! My training came from taking the core instruction offered by my public access TV channel. In turn I have access to state of the art gear, remedial instruction, studios and sound stages, recording studios, editing suites, etc. In return I am expected to offer the channel quality programming for the station to air, volunteer for PSA spots as either director, producer, camera, sound or what ever is need for the production. I am also a SAG/AFTRA actor, screenwriter and have my own small production company making commercials for local businesses, shorts for film festivals and feature length movies.

Public Access Cable is available to anyone that wants to enter the entertainment business.

Hey Qum,

That 46 and 2 video just makes me want to give up!!! LOL

I was not blessed with a natural talent for drumming I'm afraid

BUT I did stick with it... "stick" see what I did there??? LOL
and I can hold a steady beat now and again, but like to keep it simple!

I did like the Bass players style and the wee singer was quite good too!

Thanks for pointing me in their direction!

Ahhh! Makes sense because pro gear costs a fortune. I'd love to have gotten into doing music for films and movies, but I just lacked the musical skills really. Although my mum likes it... But she's my mum so she has to say that
But if your in need of a tune making, like something eerie perhaps I wouldn't mind giving it a go and wont be offended in the slightest if you don't use it!

To Gordi, Ni Machine is basically a digital drum kit with finger pads to do the drums. I had to go in that direction because recording drums involved an interface with wayyy more inputs, and on top of that - quality mics which are pricey. Also, I'm in a wheelchair these days so that really limited things. The Maschine thing was really against what I used to think, but I'm coming around to it, and it can actually be quite expressive because the pads are touch sensitive.

I was thinking by your name you're a pro-drummer, are you more into the bass/guitar thing?

EDIT: those photo's are gorgeous! That top one has a really nice effect, looks like such a stunning location! More photo's please!
edit on 4-3-2014 by Qumulys because: (no reason given)
