LOL Plus I took a damned long nap earlier in the night. I seem to be more alert at night. Maybe I should switch my pills that make me sleepy in the day to night time. Ah now there's an idea.
Always did love being up late though. I guess Night Star is a good name for me after all.

Had one fun time yesterday down in Western Virginia chasing the Southern #630 between Grundy, VA and Devon, West Virginia. This photo was taken at Stopover, Kentucky further east on along the Buchanan Branch. She was being ran hard and ran fast as a column of black smoke is seen billowing out from the stack. This was taken on the first trip out of Grundy going toward Devon on Saturday.


After getting up at 5AM and making nearly a three hour drive one way. It was well worth it and with that being said..........
I think that it is time to drag myself over and off to bed and go to sleep.

I was in a drunken stupor and she took pity on me, it wasn't a pretty sight Night but she never gave up on me

and for that I will be forever grateful.

It's a very long and complicated story, but with a fairy tale ending........................ bugger...........just a sec............ gotta go check me par boiled potatoes .................That was close nearly had mashed potatoes instead of roast LOL

Yeah fine thanks man my body clock woke me at the usual time and I couldn't get back to sleep

So I thought I'd use the quite time to get the roast ready and play with PS a bit. Luckily Night was still up for a bit so we had little natter.

How's things up your way ? Sunny here but with a definite chill in the air, done every thing I needed to and just starting to cook the roast beef nom nom nom.

I'm doin' great, but weather is... still changeable!
REALLY cold, showery and still a bit breezy. Feeling quite wintry actually.

I'm hoping that Scott, the Lead guitarist from the band I recently joined, is coming over today!
He was asking about my "folked-up" project, and after I played him a few songs - he wanted to be considered for the 2nd instrument part!! (probably 2nd guitar and/or banjo) So, I've invited him over.

I'm MUCH more hopeful about Scott, than the mandolin player I had to bag recently.
He's younger, more enthusiastic and with a bit of energy about him! His playing and improvisation on guitar are good, and I think he'll LOVE the rocked up folky sound that I'm goin' for.
Haven't actually heard him on Banjo yet, but am really lookin forward to that!!

Finally our weather is starting to mesh. Nice and sunny here and already 66 degrees. Feels like summer to me. Doors and windows are all open. And the tuesday we're supposed to get a rain snow mix...lol. I think it'll just be rain and chilly though, but then after that one day, it's back to the sixties. YeeHaa!
