I only have a pair of scissors though but the rivets go through the pockets and in the front of the jean. they are close to the double stitching. if i cut around really close will the jeans be fine? I can't have rivets where I work assembling Highlanders and Sequoia's so yeah..... any advice? I read online they say some kind of rivet remover or pliers etc; i have nothing like that.

Or jeans without rivets?

Unusually you drill out rivets with a bit that's the size of the center of the rivet. But it doesn't sound like you have the that tool available. My suggestion would be to barrow one. That you won't ruin them.

Just get some dickies, they will be cheaper than buying new jeans after they fall apart.
Dickies are for that kind of work too, nothing to scratch paint.

Carhartt make their pants with no rivets.

You can dump a little gas on the jeans and set them on fire, the rivets will not burn.

Quick solution would be to stand the rivets on its side and hit them with a hammer. Use long nose pliers to hold them in the side position.

Crush them in a vise or use a vise grip and your hands, like a man!

You can use a rock to sand the back off the rivet. Then just pull the rivet out of the hole. No tools needed...except a rock. Where do you find a rock in the city?

I would drill them out with an 1/8 inch drill bit. Seems odd you can't have them but I have worked in places where you couldnt have pockets on your shirt or buttons.

Maybe cut them out with the scissors like you were saying, then sew around the edge of the hole so it doesn't get bigger. I assume buying rivetless pants is out of the question at the moment?
