OK, has he gone too deep down the rabbit hole or does he want people to think he has or is that what you have to do to find the truth these days?

This is a conspiracy site after all ...

A bar bet… yah one possibility. Riding his popularity and ego, hmmm.

Ergo, if he does this too much he'll lose both.

I couldn't answer those questions with any authority. All I know is that is not often quoted if at all anymore by folks that once referred to him.

I have bought gold, silver, gear etc. But I don't think that makes any difference. I have come to the conclusion to live my life to the fullest and if something happens, I will do the best I can to survive.

Have an exit plan for what ???

The comment is absurd because it lacks content, bears no meaningful context, and is therefore devoid of meaning. For someone with such a large readership Drudge should learn to behave more responsibly. His remark is actually rather spooky, and mean spirited.

His track record pretty much speaks for itself. If he has anything to say, even a minimal amount he thinks worth a tweet I'll listen. Just ask Bill Clinton.

Exactly right Bassago. I read Drudge every day and its like time travel. Two or three days later you will find the MSM outlets (both right and left) covering the same stories you read on Drudge days before. And for all the Alex Jones haters out there, look at how many times AJ breaks a story then Drudge links to it. Its uncanny. I know the guy can come off as a bit of a fruit loop with his yelling and all that, but the guys is a good journalist and if he reports it you should at least give it some unbiased thought. It might just save your life some day. Good Job OP.

Seriously? EVERY business owners should have an exit strategy! Every single one!! For like... EVER..

It's part of your business plan before you ever go into business, or at least should be.

Dude is a financial guy, not a war expert, he is giving financial advice to others here, not telling people that S will HTF!

DRUDGE IS ON A MISSION!

As a long time reader of Drudge---and one who has seen his agenda change over the last year--I have a few thoughts to add:

---Consider that within the past 18 months, he has actually started quoting and linking to Info Wars. I was a little shocked at first, but he and Alex Jones have a serious collaboration going. Some mainstream bloggers worried it would risk his credibility, but he continues to link to the Info Wars site regardless.

----Drudge totally gets what's going on. He has linked to Bilderberger stories, UFO reports, JFK theories---and the list goes on. He's definitely letting TPTB know that he's awake, and is trying to alert the rest of humanity without coming right out and saying it. He's on a mission.

---His Twitter account is one of the only mediums where he speaks his own mind. As you know, the Drudge Report only links to other stories. If Drudge says something on his Twitter account, I take it very, very seriously.

I couldn't have said it better myself. This guy has remained rock solid in his reporting and is not afraid to take on "delicate" issues. He is not one to raise false alarms and you can't question the guys intelligence and business savvy. This guy is smart enough to build a one page website that consistently outperforms most of the other MSM websites combined. These other sites have staff that number in the hundreds in some cases and they are backed by giant media companies with thousands of employees and gigantic budgets. They have hundreds if not thousands of pages chock full of videos, animations, colorful images and anything else they can use to lure in a reader. Drudge lists two employees and I can't remember ever seeing one single ad for the site anywhere. He uses two colors on his site and never uses videos, animations and he keeps his use of images to a minimum. But he still crushes the rest of the MSM on a daily basis. That, to me, says a lot about him personally as well as America in general. I still believe most Americans are conservative at heart. I think that people generally want what is right and just in the world. I think Matt Drudge believes this too and the numbers don't lie. Good post MRuss.

I completely disagree. The guy rarely writes anything himself. All he does is link to articles that are out there already. For the most part these articles come from "respectable" sources. If you think pointing out what others are saying or writing about is rabble-rousing, I guess you have a right to that opinion but in my eyes it lacks any intelligent analysis. You may not like the content that he links to and to be honest I rarely "like" what I read on there, but that doesn't make it any less newsworthy or true. I don't like the fact that Bill Clinton boffed Lewinsky in the Oval Office, but its still true and I'm glad Drudge broke the story. Maybe you'd rather live in a rose-colored bubble where the news is always good and truthfully so would I, but that's not reality. Since we are forced to live in this reality, I want to know what's really going on. I want the information that will have an effect on my life, be it good, bad or indifferent. I want the chance to make up my own mind. I guess some folks quit doing that long ago. Sad.

Matt Drudge is simply a sensationalistic aggregator of news produced by other people. His site is essentially an index. Why would he have greater insight than other people?

I used to make a fair wage doing something very similar. When you cover volumes of material, and get used to sifting out valuable and unique information, people start looking at you like you can predict the future.

Lately, though, his page has admittedly been overly sensationalist. I've almost stopped visiting.

I do as well (it's my home page) and I've been reading it for years. You can literally read the same stories days later on Fox or CNN.

Drudge is on to something and obviously has good sources. I was concerned when he brought Infowars stories as that somewhat discredits the site but ironically the stories he's included turned out to mostly be correct. I also saw this tweet and frankly I'm not worried....this is his persona and I think it's fairly obvious that things are going to get very interesting for all of us in the next few years.

I agree it is quite a cryptic tweet,i think he knows the possible concequences if it was to be blatent..So however people take it is up to them...In the times we live in? It would certainly be wise to have as much money as is feasible out of the account and stored somewhere else safe, alternativly if he is hinting at pending catastrophy, then it would be worth looking to move out of cities,at a certain level above the sea 1000 ft or more, away from fault lines, volcanoes etc, with ample supplies of all the necessities and becoming self sufficient food, water, with survival skills etc..

He devotes a lot of attention to off-the-grid/earth's magnetic field collapsing.

If anything his Presidency has highlighted the problems with Racism in the USA. Fat White Republicans just can't agree with any Black Man. It is just too hard.

Obama knows it and so does anyone else not blinded by hate for a Black Man.

All I was going for was an economic collapse and here you two have combined this into the racial motivated earth's magnetic field collapse.

I've been totally out doom porned.

Shame on you, Bassago.

I was only following your advice: parsing the links at Drudge, and then, came up with what I posted within your thread.

Now please tell me how a natural disaster, followed by the earth being off the grids for months, resulting in zero electricity
During those times, would not equate an economic meltdown?

In addition, I know I am a "mutt" but I have little else in common with The big o, or playing the race card for that matter.

So please avoid compartmentalizing me with others who do.

Lesson learned; I will look at your threads but avoid participation in them.

Watchesfromwall, please accept my sincere apologies if this came off as a slam to you. It was absolutely just some humor. I'll say again sorry if I came off as a jerk to you. Wasn't my attention at all. I appreciated your post and did not mean to offend.

Basically agree with Matt Drudge's credentials, etc., but IMO, you seem to forget that by including the links to InFoWars and collaborating with Alex Jones, he's adding MILLIONS of readers.

He's a businessman who, thankfully, is never satisfied.

That said, Matt doesn't have to be in on 'inside' information. Anybody who takes the time to do a quick look around today...and is a student of 1930's Europe and WWII history, knows that Something Evil This Way Comes!

Having a lot of money isn't going to help if the dollar hyper-inflates or if it's sitting in a bank that goes on "holiday." A handful of qold quarter ounce coins and ounce silver coins might though.

Prepping food, water, weapons, etc along with some some on-hand precious metals will serve better than a million bucks you can't get out of the bank or your investment portfolio.
