What's the biggest lie the US Govt' has pulled over it's citizens that's made you cringe?

I find myself thinking "LIE" every time i see a sign that says "Your Tax Dollars At Work"...

I'm not sure how this makes the Department of Health much better than some of things Mengele did. After all, they likely justified it on the belief that blacks were less human than whites in the '30s the same way Mengele justified his experiments on Jews.

That violence is counterproductive savagery that us enlightened first worlders should not engage in when confronting tyranny because voting and making clever signs are auspicious catalysts for reform.

The Syrian rebels aren't Al Qaeda there is only small extremist elements among them
Israel is our friend and strongest ally.
