Honey Boo Boo gets A boo boo

I don't know what a Honey Boo Boo is, can't watch any YouTube vids either. But from what the other posters are saying, I guess I'm lucky that I can't and they are something of a disgusting TV program in the US.

I understand the whole beauty pageant/obsessed mom thing. And 'dance moms' too.

People missed their dream, so they're bound and determined to live it at the expense of their kids.

The show , and its' popularity, makes perfect sense now.

It may be sad to admit, but currently Honey Boo Boo is very often the most entertaining show on South African satellite TV.
Everything else is repeats, and now they're showing all these bad movies from the 1990s, almost as if they assume nobody's going to notice that we've seen them multiple times.

Reality TV can actually be fun, especially if one watches with a friend and one can try to outdo each other with smart-ass comments and critique.

Now even the Kardashians are repeating ad nauseum.

So Honey Boo Boo isn't that bad once one has been forced into it.
What's even better is that one can't snack or munch while watching it.
It's simply too disgusting, with all the farting and yucky behavior.

My other favorite anti-snacking show is Embarrassing Bodies.
This series shows us parts of the British anatomy that should never be shown.
It's a bit like porn, but just in reverse.
No really, if they ran that show over an evening or two I'd lose 3 kilos.

I'd say the Boo Boo family has just as much fun as Kim or Bruce, and at least they're not pretentious.

I'd like to see Honey Boo boo and the The Duck Dynasty guys get together, since they both wanna be rednecks.

Maybe they can fry up some beaver and have a farting competition?

That would be another episode without any snacks for the sensitive viewer, so it could be quite wholesome.

Also, I'm waiting for the Honey Boo Boo line of perfume, and Sugar Bear cologne.
I can imagine a kind of earthy scent.

Stupid tv show,

They define the term worthless eater.

While I do believe they exemplify the "dumbification" of America into an "Idiocracy", only the mom is really a "worthless eater". But of course, she's also legally blind and with no real skillset. She's actually lost more than 100lbs since the show started, and does involve the family in a few local charity endeavors (which are no doubt helped by the show's exposure).

That's simple of course. Makes you feel good about YOUR life. You can always look to it and go, "See, we aren't THAT bad..." This is the reason most reality shows thrive. Makes folks feel better about their own lives.

By the way, her "reluctance" to marry isn't a phobia, it's pure economics. She's getting child support (all the girls are each from a different dad), and in typical trash fashion, second she's married, she loses that income. LOL
