I'm no prude OM but I have fallen fowl of T&C's so often the mods have a chair outside my flat !!!

Took me a long time to get used to it, but I forget that kids lurk as well.

Been messing around so free to a good home if anyone wants it

A very good friend of mine gave it to me for an early Christmas present, I used to struggle with gimp but ps is so intuitive I improved hard and fast, at least I think I did.

You sure are making some great things!.

I have been focussing more on creating things from scratch in photoshop but when working with existing pictures I have found the hardest part in combining two (or more) images is letting them flow over into each other. The hard edges immediately give away the borders of an image which you are trying to incorporate into an other picture. Also trying to get the tone/color of both pictures right is a difficult task..

You seem to have mastered this skill pretty damn good.

When I'm removing the background of an image to help it to flow I use a hardness setting around 54%.

If for example we add a stream we get this (No work was involved here apart from removing the background I didn't want and moving the image) typically I'd mess with it a bit more, but as you see it flows not too bad. A bit more messing with the colours would help it flow even better, but this was just to show you.



Drop the opacity to 79 and you get this

Mess with it a bit more change the colouring, opacity down a tad and some blur and we start to get a misty effect.

Usually I'd spend more time getting it right but just to show you

I've never tried running water....probably because it's so freaking hard!!

I think the placing of that stream is perfect. I would have let it come out from behind the tree but you made it look quite naturel.
