No I haven't read that book! But you made a good point with it.
People who want to force their views on the world often wind
up making strange bed fellows.

In my perspective, if one worships a god who eats people or
places them in fiery pits, then a worshipper of such a god is
in effect saying, "agree with me, or the sickest extension
of my ego -- my corrupted and inaccurate theory about
god will kill and torture you on my behalf".

Why people feel compelled to criss-cross the globe, in order
to vent the darkest part of their own insecurity on others
is a part of human behavior that used to puzzle me greatly.

pleased you did research.. it's good to keep posters honest.

Don't take it personal ... gotta' double check all sources these days.

That being said, upon checking that Jewish group it's clear that they are HEAVY into

Forcing the Second Coming

The whole thing about wanting to force the Second Coming really reveals
the sick mind-set of certain individuals in power.

This is one example of the "Armageddon Script" I've talked about
in other threads.

Of course if their efforts don't produce the desired result, the folks in
question will probably 'start without God' to get their way.

The second coming has been happening since 33AD. Every life resurrected in baptism is the body of Christ. The first involution of the Son of God was from Adam to Jesus. Jesus to today is the second coming of the body, or loaf of bread. The head is Christ above with the Father. Before Jesus was baptized by John, He was Earthbound as the LORD of the Old Testament. Today, the head of the Body is with God in heaven. The body is the church. You are mistaken.

Revelation 20

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. How long is 120 years? Each year is a Grand Jubilee. 120 * 50 = 6000. Again, we have many witnesses availabe that all say the same thing.

Nothing can force an event that is already a destiny.

a precious jewel.

I'm like everybody.. I write posts for a variety of reasons..

The fact is, that people stuff their heads full of all sorts of stuff,
in attempt to fill what they consider to be a hole inside of them.

Once a person thinks they've accomplished that.. no matter how
poorly.. even if they are in fact full of suffering and self-loathing,
it's nearly impossible to help them.

So I am not 'trying' anything. There is no 'trying' when it comes
to something like this.

Like anyone on ATS, I 'speak my truth' for various reasons.. one
of which is for personal satisfaction. If someone happens to
find value.. *bonus*.

As for the 'soul' I made that a subject for study for almost 50
years, along with other things. I'd want to spend several years
with someone, before delving into that subject to much depth.

I will note, that the 'stronger personalities' on ATS, do tend
to have huge negativity projected onto them; where people
assume all sorts of rubbish about them.. try to turn them
into villains or what not.. when they could probably just
ask them "what's your agenda" and they'd probably get
a straight answer.

I'd say that you yourself have a very strong personality..

I figured there was an interesting story behind that "soul parasite" thing, but I'm more than willing to respect your unwillingness to discuss it.

It’s sad really, the OP was all but 3 sentences long…..that’s it…3 sentences and yet we derailed into parasitic souls (although strangely on topic) and the real intent of the OP.

Simply states that the whole concept of ‘wanting’ to ‘force’ the Second Coming reveals the ‘sick mind-set’ of ‘certain’ individuals in power.

True statement yes? Some people in power do in fact believe the second coming and feel their actions can bring it about….especially those super-ego ones….eh?

2.) This is one example of the "Armageddon Script" I've talked about in other threads.

Another words, the link to the Mother Jones article is an example of this….assuming the article is correct or not biased. A valid point brought up by another poster….must always check sources.

You keep saying things like this... you must believe it.

I'll tell you, there were a lot of years, during the beatings and molestation
that I wasn't so sure whether I loved even one human being, as I'd never
met a 'good one'.

But even then, I didn't hate anyone.. not even the guy who pulled me
around the school yard by my wiener (he grabbed it while I was urinating
in the boys room).

But then I grew up and attained some amount of human maturity;
I started to love people, whether they 'deserved it or not'.

If you want me to be evil or deceitful I can't do anything about that.

Feel free to roam around the forum stalking me and spewing all
this stuff at me, if it does something for you. Send me private
PM's again and then reveal our private conversations again if that
will do something for you.

Anyone who wants to force the 2nd coming is no Christian.

It's in god time not ours, trying to force it is akin to abandoning all faith in gods word and thinking that you can make god do something.

Do not test The Lord . Comes to mind for one.

Yea your right, Christians know it is on his time. Look the other side has been pushing for the end since they fell. There are certain things that are supposed to happen before the final battle, not the least of which is the rebuilding of his temple. There are those standing ready in Israel to do just that and will have it done in less than two weeks. Allot has to happen but don't be surprised when a missile shot from muslim fanatics accidentally hits the dome and destroys it.

As far as peace for Israel, well despite some harassing missile fire they have enjoyed the most peaceful time in their history. That will end soon, as they will hit Iran on their own as they see Obama show his true colors. They know the quest for the bomb will not stop and that the Persian's have two faces. With one they smile and offer you tea while at the same time stealing your purse or stabbing you in the back. It is their history, they "should" never be trusted. Remember we are one leader away from we want to wipe israel from the map. You have the same supreme ruler so it is now just a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I think we, the US, are doing more to hasten the end than anyone else. We are losing our morality and the godly beliefs our country was founded on.
