whether major events will take place in October? everyone is busy facing this month

As I posted in this thread, pretty much the same as the current thread:

Sorry to say, but there is a far more prosaic explanation.

The Federal government runs a fiscal year from October 1 to September 30. All of this "needs to be fulfilled by October 1" just means that it is open for bid in this fiscal year -- if you can't deliver by the end of the fiscal year, you can't bid on the contract.

Absolutely nothing is going to happen on October 1, 2013, except that the Federal government will switch to the next fiscal year.

Why this fascination with doom porn, thinking that every other month bears some cataclysm, and then immediately forgetting about it when nothing happens, means, I have no idea. Get out of your bunkers and take off your tin foil hats. Nothing is going to happen on October 1st.

Well I live in Idaho, the cost of living is incredibly low here, I'm renting a room for $300 a month including fast internet and a nice closet and bathroom outside the room - that leaves a bit left over for canned goods after a few other expenses.

A tiny bit more than a bit, actually, like a few hundred left over, but I am buying Diablo III for Xbox this month. You are in Indonesia? What is your house like over there?

I think a lot of the danger in the U.S. comes from the fact that we have a long way to fall more than anything, so you could be safer by not being in the spotlight.

you do know that when we get doomsday dates nothing ever happens right?

That's why I decided to make it a party occasion every time. The doomsday dates are just getting more and more frequent! I've got September 11th and October 1st coming up.

Anyway, it is a good excuse to take the day off!

yes mr, i am from indonesia..in here $300 you can get a lot of thing..if you say you get room with fast internet and good closed, in here all of that plus all of the furniture inside..a free telephone line too! and much more..but searching for $300 in here very hard..you need to work 1,5 month to get it..

You bring up a lot of good points. I read somewhere the US stockpiles in areas NOT going to be hit by disaster (staging area) so it would make more sense to me if all supplies are going to Area 3 then the potential disaster will be somewhere else.

Without getting spazzy over doomer-porn it's ALWAYS good to be prepared. One year I lost my job and it was a huge relief I'd had food put aside & pet food. It freed up my cash for bills. Cause I'd had some Kero stored when they turned off the heat we were fine with Kero heaters. It was a temporary bad time, but we did lots better cause we thought ahead.

Last year everyone was worried about "something" happening this spring, it didn't, but it could have. I appreciate you put this info all in one place for me to think about.

FEMA region III covers new york, where all the banksters and other assorted 1%er`s work and live. It also covers Washington D.C. and we all know who is in washington.

FEMA region 3 does not cover NEW YORK, NEW YORK and NEW JERSEY are covered under FEMA region 2.

yes! Region three is comprised of; Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
