Yes the title is correct. I, who has disagreed with nearly every action and law passed, has to say thank you to Obama.

You see, this week Obama has managed to throw not just the Democratic Party, Secretary of State John Kerry and all of Obama's supporters under the proverbial bus. But has validated George W. Bush's Presidency and second term of office by defeating John Kerry in 2004. And best of all, Obama has thrown himself under that bus as well. And thus, has both validated and verified many of the members of ATS and conspiracy theory community as a whole.

How did Obama accomplish such a task? By declaring that the government of Syria used Chemical Weapons on its people. Way back in 2002, Bush made the case for going to war in Iraq in order to secure WMD. Many whose politics were more anti-Bush than Democratic Party or even Liberal leaning chanted the mantra "Bush lied. People died." But many in both the conspiracy theory community as well as political pundits (and some politicians) stated very firmly that there were satellite images of military convoys of material leaving Iraq and heading into Syria and Jordan in the weeks prior to the Shock and Awe campaign that began the Iraq War.

So with this declaration, Obama and the Obama Administration is confirming that either Bush was right and there were WMD in Iraq or is admitting that US Intelligence, DHS, NSA spying and the Patriot Act under Obama's tenure has been so incompetent and misguided that Syria was able to develop and deploy military grade Chemical Weapons without our knowledge until after the fact.

So Obama, thank you. Thank you for finally being honest about one thing. Now if we can get some more honesty maybe the US can finally get on the road to recovery since your entering office 5+ years ago.

It is partisan nonsense like this that will ensure that the people who run the Democrat/Republican parties will maintain control over this country. By clinging to this ridiculous and fraudulent left/right paradigm, you are also complicit in the crimes being committed by our government.

Remove the blinders from your eyes, please. Obama did not validate anything that his fellow puppet Bush did before him. Syria has been on TPTB's hitlist for a long time and Obama is following the script.

Obama is just an actor, picked by these puppet masters to put half of you back to sleep and the other half screaming at his socialist programs.

This crap in Syria is going to get out of hand. I wasn't scared during the Cold War. Now I am. The blowback from this will be way worse than anything we've ever seen.

Exactly! Some people just cant get it regardless how hard you or I try. They cant see the big picture that both big parties are controlled by the same rich people called the bilderbergers. I post links to infowars and get scoffed at on this supposed "alternative site".

To get out of the BS one must select candidates carefully like selecting your spouse. To truely see change it is advisable to vote for green, libertarian, constitution party. Yes they do exist but not on all state ballots unfortunately.

It seems that UK and France are backing out from their retaliation plans against assad.

As for the USA I dont think they have the nerve to strike solo and considering that only 9% approve of attacks I think it would be suicide for obama and kerry to go ahead.

I am hopeful of better days, but people really need to dig deep here.

Ding Ding Ding! Winner!

I lost more than a few friends 5 years ago when i said that there is no real choice in politics anymore. All presidential candidates must be approved by the TPTB behind the scene. That's called primaries. Then we get basically 2 sides of the same coin. Do you like heads or tails? but you still elect a wooden nickel.

I used to self-identify as republican, then Bush raised taxes more than any president in history. We had no child left behind. Patriot Act. and more loss of freedom and liberty than at any time in our short history. Then we get Obama, who raised taxes more with Obamacare, flat out tax increases, Social security tax increase, etc. Oh, and here comes the NDAA which takes away more of our freedom and liberties, and outright nullifies several parts of our Constitution.

So what can a person do? either not participate, or refuse to vote for the big 2. I come here and try to find more information in hopes of finding a way back to the future.....

what about Iraqs second in command of the air force, a high ranking general admitting to sending over 50 flights out of iraq into Syria under the guise of humanitarian aid for a rupture in a damn. FILLED with chemical weapons. He also mentioned the truck convoys.

all well documented. I suspect that people didn't even read my last post because it wasnt a 60 second read.

I think I explained it all. Syria most definitely has much of Iraqs chemical weapons stock piles, delivery systems, and production equipment.

Syria always depended on external sources for its chemical weapons.

I don't see the point in denying it anymore. Its not so much a vindication for Bush and the Iraq war as it is simply true.

The real reason we are getting involved in the middle east is to scale down the level of armament and sophistication to the ME that our parents and grandparents generation built up through illegal arms sales.

Europe and the US use Alqaeda or anyone else to this end.

Forget about american politics here. This is MUCH bigger.

In the olden days, the democratic party (the first one to be founded) was accused of corruption, and the republican party was created to undo that. Lincoln was republican... but that was in the good old days. Today, corporations are in both wings...

In canada we have a bit more parties, but the principle is the same. When mafia gets hold of a party, it does so regardless of what wing the party's at. The problem is not the party, it's the corporations who want to take over EVERYTHING on the face of this Earth and attacks parties as it goes. Corporations don't want the betterment of mankind... they want more power, served with a nice green bills dressing.

Mmmm...Bit of a huge jump from Obama declaring that the Syrians have chemical weapons (the origins and exact nature of which are yet to be determined), and the alleged pre-invasion clearing of Iraqi contraband.

Don't get me wrong, Obama is a clown and a puppet who is no better than Bush and is some ways worse, but to say that Obama's shaky allegations against Syria are a justification of Bush's equally shaky WMD allegations against Iraq is a straw grasp at best.

Nobody defends Obama anymore. Maybe a few paid shills or the most extreme knee jerk reactionaries but everyone else is embarrassed by him. The main stream democrats and even liberals will be more than happy to see him out of office. And when the real truth behind this fraud begins to surface, he will be persona non grata.
You used to be able to get left wingers in fits by comparing Obama to Bush, now they quietly take it and don't offer up any arguments. They at most defend Obama by comparing him to Bush. If Obama does something wrong or says something stupid , the go to counter attack is " Bush did it, too."
But I'll pile on by questioning his latest screw up, Syria. I read that John Kerry had confidence in Intelligence reports on Syria. Kerry, confidence and intelligence. Three words you wouldn't normally think to find in one sentence together. Stupid is the new normal in Washington and we are well served by questioning whatever these idiots do and whether or not they actually serve our best interests, right or wrong.

Indeed. Obama is shouldn't take full responsibility. I just hope that the government doesn't cook up a reason to go into Syria. I loved that Putin challenged Obama asking for evidence as well! Russia FTW!

What proof do you have that Syria had no chemical weapons prior to the Iraq War invasion? Where do you people get this stupid stuff?

As a matter of fact when US troops were outside of Baghdad they had to wait before the attack for a convoy of Russian adviser's to leave the city. Guess where they went? And who is it that has been blocking UN resolutions on Syria? Now does the no boots on the ground make sense? Imagine the reaction if a depot of chemical weapons with Iraqi markers were found? Russia has a huge interest in the ME and has worked to thwart US interest since the cold war, And no I don't have links I remember seeing it on the news in the early days of the Iraq war and it always struck me as odd and no one is saying that Syria doesn't have their own home brewed chemical weapons. BUT if you were a dictator wouldn't you take the chance to add more pre-made?

I have a question for those who were claiming earlier that "TPTB" have lined up Syria for an invasion and that the world's leaders - including Obama - are just doing their bidding.

Why have TPTB stripped Obama of the support of the international community if they so desperately want a war?

They only thing I have seen happening for the last 5 years is that the corporate dictatorship in this nation no longer fear the people of this nation and they are showing their true intentions when it comes to the role of the US in the world.

America have no longer a government run by the people and for the people and the corruption don't give a fart or two what the Americans think about them.

That is what I perceived of our no longer America run government in this nation.

Honesty is not even an issue here because they don' care.
