Im quite partial to a chicken tika pasty and curry pot noodle sandwich myself.. Failing that.. Bacon, sausage and eggs on toasted soda bread. Lashings of tomato ketchup of course..On both. The sarnies of champions..

Nice to see some fellow yamyams on here

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I have no idea what any of you are talking about. Everything I know about culinary offerings over there across the pond is contained in the following two videos:

Hilarious. You guys may eat some hardcore stuff, but you can't beat the Brit humor.

Mmmmmmmm scouse

I haven't had my mams scouse with pickled red cabbage in years.

I don't think I would go anywhere near my mom's scouse much less eat it with pickles!!!
I'm so gonna get a warning for that one

Okay...I finally see food I cook for myself and eat on a post!!!
Chicken tikka is one of my faves...
Ketchup is of the devil. Use Sriracha instead...and get a bottle where the rooster looks angry! Respect the hot cock sauce!

Yep... I am American and I am utterly LOST!
I have no idea what any of these things are. I am from south Louisiana, where we eat crawfish, alligator and various other delicious critters....so I won't judge! As a matter of fact, despite the cringe worthy image "spotted dick" creates in my mind, I would probably enjoyit

Could you please tell me what that consists of? I really want to know.....I think

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I think it's sort of like mincemeat, but don't quote me. I'm a midwest boy myself, so bangers & mash I comprehend. Sausage rules.

Some places have tried to change it to "spotted richard" to make it less offensive (?) but i'm afraid richard has even worse connotations as in "richard the third" rhymes with...you get the idea
and most places who've tried to rename it have gone back to its original name since everyone still called it spotted dick

This was one of Elvis Presley favorite foods.I thought everyone knew .
Try cutting a Macintosh apple into about 8 wedges .It has to be a tart apple .
Core it so the seeds are gone
Put a blop of peanut butter in the "smile".
Sounds weird, but its a seriously yummy snack

Here in the USA ,this is just called pork rinds. Its eaten predominately in black and Hispanic neighborhoods .White people don't know these from Adam.
The people who do eat them ,eat them literally daily ,and die very young of heart disease .
