I wonder when humanity is going to really say, enough is enough or are we doomed as a species forever killing in the name of?

Regardless of what some try and claim, this is NOT uncommon. Whole villages have been destroyed, with the people killed in many places where Muslims gain sufficient numbers. Men, women, children; they do not care. Claims to the contrary are taqiyya. Lies, in other words, to promote and protect Islam. Besides, if the children weren't Muslim, they don't count. This is a people whole book labels many as "pigs" and "dogs".
This is horrible. How many have to die, be tortured, assaulted, maimed, in the name of this "religion" before the world cries, "Enough!"? Why is it that the Inquisition can be offered to condemn Christianity, when NO Christian thinks that was a good or right thing. but we aren't supposed to talk about current events? When Christians faced such things, we had a reformation. When Muslims do, they defend the atrocities.

So true LadyGreen maybe in the case of Islam there is no tradition I know of..of a non violent martyr who stand for his/her beliefs and speak truth to power but would rather die than physically harm their enemy if I am wrong Muslims participating in this thread please correct me, not to say Christians haven't committed grave acts history bares witness to that, but they also have a parallel tradition of non violent martyrdom from the time when Christians were being eaten by lions to MLK's inspired non violent actions of the civil rights era.edit on 10-7-2013 by Spider879 because: (no reason given)
I never heard of such a case! Also, when there have been some historical bad acts by people claiming to act in the name of Christianity, such as the Inquisition, these were NOT supported by the average Christian, and have been condemned across the board as acts of some in power being out of control, and using the religion in a false manner. I haven't heard a single Muslim leader condemning such acts, and have, in fact, heard some, even recently, supporting such atrocities. In Egypt, people were told they were supposed to assault women that were opposed to the group.

I agree with you right up to the 1000's of Mosques. . . .
Of the more than 1,200 mosques in America, more than 80 percent have been built within the last 20 years – thanks in large part to Saudi money, according to Reza F. Safa, author of “Inside Islam.”
“Saudi Arabia alone has spent $87 billion since 1973 to spread Islam throughout the United States and the Western hemisphere,” Safa said.

Despite such difficulties, a comprehensive survey of American mosque leaders released Wednesday reveals that the number of mosques in the country has grown tremendously, with more than 900 new centers being established since 2000. Another finding from the survey reveals that compared to the turn of the millennium, fewer Muslims see America as "hostile" to Islam today.
The nation's largest Islamic groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America and the Islamic Circle of America released the survey that asked hundreds of mosque leaders about the demographics and theological and political leanings of their congregation.
Researchers counted 2,106 mosques in the United States, mostly located in or around big cities, with New York state and California alone having 503 mosques. As more Americans have moved to the suburbs, so has the growth of new mosques. While many mosques have historically been established by South Asian immigrants, the study found that newer immigrant groups such as Somalis, Iraqis, West Africans and Bosnians have began to establish their own mosques since 2000
Saudi Arabia has sent about $70 billion in the past 10-15 years promoting extreme Islam around the world. Madrassas across Asia, Africa and beyond receive Saudi money to promulgate a 7th century intolerant paganism. Billions of Saudi dollars now dominate US politics and campuses. Saudi Arabia is home to most of the 19 September 11th terrorists, yet the US has not done anything to force the Saudi regime to stop its funding of terror; its exportation of radical Wahhabiism nor to disengage itself from contaminating US politics.
It is an open secret that Arab money greases the wheels of Washington politics. How many US politicians are in the pockets of the Arabs? Hard to say, the media, the supposed ‘watchdog’ of politicians has never roused itself to investigate the trail of Arab money in Washington. But some things are certain. Carter, Clinton, Bush I, Bush II, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and others have received millions of dollars in Arab money for speeches, campaigns, libraries and support of family business.
. . .
Just as pernicious as buying off political votes, hundreds of millions of dollars annually goes to funding radical mosques. In these Islamic centers the contemplation of the divine is ignored and a political program of Muslim domination inserted. There is nothing spiritual or religious about US mosques. Mosques preach a radical hatred of the US, of Jews Christians and non-Muslims while advocating the dismemberment of the US Constitution and the establishment of a US caliphate. Literally thousands of speeches and articles emanating from US mosques and their leaders support the above observation.
. . .
I would suggest that the media exposing the connection between Saudi money and a vibrant 5th column inside the US, is a more worthy topic than sham environmentalism and crying about climate patterns in the year 2100. If you don’t defend your civilization the weather in 2100 won’t matter – because your civilization won’t be here.
Researchers conducting the national count found a total of 2,106 Islamic centers, compared to 1,209 in 2000 and 962 in 1994. About one-quarter of the centers were built between 2000-2011, as the community faced intense scrutiny by government officials and a suspicious public. In 2010, protest against an Islamic center near ground zero erupted into a national debate over Islam, extremism and religious freedom. Anti-mosque demonstrations spread to Tennessee, California and other states.
. . .
According to official Saudi information, Saudi funds have been used to build and maintain over 1,500 mosques, 202 colleges, 210 Islamic Centers wholly or partly financed by Saudi Arabia, and almost 2,000 schools for educating Muslim children in non-Islamic countries in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia.
. . .
The results of the survey provide some insight into the message the Saudis wish to instill in the minds of their students both in their Kingdom and throughout the world. The message, simply stated, is that Wahhabism either must dominate or be dominated.
. . .
Nor is peace between Muslims and non-Muslims advocated. Instead, the Saudi textbooks, even grammar books, are full of phrases exalting war, jihad, and martyrdom. [This is consistent with the content of the Qur'an and the Sunnah.]
Even for Muslims in Saudi Arabia, strict Wahhabism denies people basic rights. A Salafist doctrine, it was originated in 1744 by Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703-1792), who used violent enforcers called muttawa, mutawi or mutawi'oon to ensure obedience. Nowadays these muttawa, or religious policemen, enact the promotion of virtue and prevention of vice. The muttawa are draconian, causing 15 schoolgirls to die on Monday, March 11, 2002 when a fire broke out at a girl's school dormitory. Several girls tried to escape the burning building, but were met by members of the muttawa, who found the girls not dressed in appropriate attire. They beat the girls to send them back into the flames. The muttawa also prevented fireman from approaching to deal with the conflagration
The muttawa's powers were slightly reduced in May 2006, but their repression continues. On June 6, 2006 a 70-year old Saudi woman was placed in jail because she went into a shop where only a male shopkeeper was present. The elderly and disabled woman was arrested by muttawa because she had been "in close proximity to a man" (“khalwat”).
. . .
Saudi Wahabbism evolved with the expansionist ambitions of the al-Saud tribe, who now comprise the Saudi "Royal" family, and hold all the important positions in the so-called government. Were in not for Saudi oil reserves, the kingdom would be written off as a tin-pot dictatorship of the worst order. Yet this repressive apology for a nation, where the victim of a gang-rape was subjected to a punishment of 90 lashes in November 2006, exports its backwards ideology throughout the world.
. . .
He claimed that it was acceptable for Muslims to kill Jews, Hindus or Americans. These are a few of his statements:
• "You all have to strike against America anywhere in the world you are. Is that clear? You have to learn how to shoot, to fly planes, to drive tanks and you have to learn how to load your guns and to use missiles."
• “You can use chemical weapons to exterminate the non-believer. If you have cockroaches in your house you can spray them, yes with chemicals, chemicals. Who has more dignity, the cockroach or the unbeliever? If you spray the cockroach, spray the Hindu."
• “Liberty can never be achieved by democracy. The way forward can never be the ballot; the way forward is the bullet. Islam was spread by the sword, today it has got to be spread by the Kalashnikov."
• "When you have a legitimate target you strike at it. If women and children die they are collateral damage"
While Christian churches are being destroyed on a near daily basis in Muslim countries throughout the world, the Obama administration is investing millions of dollars to rebuild overseas Islamic mosques and minarets.
According to the State Department, the mosque restoration program, first reported on back in 2010, is a “cultural preservation” project designed to “fight Islamic extremism by building relationships with Islamic leaders.”
. . .
Perhaps the State Department’s reticence in sharing the full fiscal details of its taxpayer-funded Islamic goodwill project centered on the fact that federal regulations prohibit USAID funds from being used for saving structures which are used for “inherently religious activities.”
Of course, it should be noted, that the “inherently religious activities” of those overseas Islamic mosques includes preaching hatred of Jews, Christians and Americans, incitement to terrorist activity, and global imposition of Islamic rule.
. . .
The 100-year-old St. George’s was in the midst of its own renovation when local Muslim sensibilities were offended by the presence of a cross, bell, and dome on the church’s roof. So, in the interest of “community peace,” church leaders agreed to take down the spire and cross, leaving the dome intact.
Unfortunately, that compromise proved insufficient to soothe Muslim outrage, leading a Muslim throng numbering in the thousands to descend on the church, burn it to the ground, while shouting, “Kill all the Christians.”

you mean those buildings where . . . in far too many cases . . . someone of questionable literacy gets up and pontificates outrageous violence--too often against even other Muslims--winding up many 100's to thousands of folks with even less literacy . . . who have never read their own founding books or anything else.

This is sad, but what about the quiet massacres that take place 24 hrs a day?
Look at the statistics:
Heart disease, cancer and road accidents are much more likely to kill you than terrorists. But because they're so common, they get ignored.
Jamie Oliver mentioned this in one of his TED talks.

I know, but we should have moved past stuff like this by now.
Religion is to blame, it stops us from progressing and causes things like this to happen regularly. It's all a lie, a lie used for things like this to take place and cause fear.
