An Army officer has reportedly captured a UFO (unidentified flying object) on his cell phone at Kannur, Kerala. Divya Sebastian, wife of Major Sebastian Zachariah, an Army officer now on an international assignment, said that her husband has indeed captured the image while on an outing on a beach in Kannur.

To me it does look photo shop, but when these things come out of people in uniform, it makes it a bit more credible. To me the UFO looks familiar, its quite similar to other UFO pics I have seen. maybe its a copy paste. I believe there are some specialists here on ATS who could clear this out in a jiffy.

There is more info in the LINK.

You call that a close-up?

It's also fake as hell. Even I could do a better job!

To my untrained eye it looks fake too, guess the major needs a lesson or two about photoshopping.

People on the beach didn't seem to notice the inter-stellar craft from another time/dimension/galaxy.

Looks like one of those apps for iPhone that create fake UFO pics to me.

Star for you.First that picture looks like its from the fifties.More important is those 2 guys talking about the weather on the beach while the UFO hovers a few yards away unnoticed by them?

The UFO in that image is the same one I used to create the (humor) picture below and can be found at the link below that...

UFO Image Link

Addendum: As much as I dislike seeing ATS host a [HOAX] forum... this one could prolly go into it and I wouldn't gripe a bit

'General': Hmmm... my Punto doesn't look as good in photo's as I thought it did. I really shouldn't have replaced the steel rims with Hotwheels replicas!

Wife: You know what would make it look much better?

'General': A great dirty spoiler?!

Wife: No... a UFO!

'General': You know.. I think you are right!

*General opens MS Paint and googles 'UFO pics'*

5 mins later....

'General': TADAAA!

Edit: General/ Officer whatever...

Someday you will see the pattern that an UFO-story is dissed because it comes from an "unreliable" source. And sometimes it doesn't get dissed because the source is so darned reliable.
Never ever does the story/photo in itself stand as proof, because it cannot be proof if it's not true.

How do you tell a UFO photo is fake?

Everything is in focus, except the damned UFO

Only in your imagination. I know you are hard-pressed to find a reason to regard this picture as a hoax,* but at least don't fabricate your reasons and embroider them with ridiculous claims that you knew what the two (non-existent) men were talking about when the photo was taken. It's so..... obvious.

*Dismissing it because the supposed UFO looks like what was seen in the 1950s does not cut it. Why on Earth should aliens change their vehicles like human beings exchange their old cars for the latest model? Your excuse for doubting this photo is as weak as wet paper.

“My husband had a new mobile (HTC-1) and he was checking the features by clicking photos randomly. It was around 4.30-5 pm and suddenly he screamed saying that he got a UFO image. We couldn’t believe it first and thought he was playing a prank,” Divya who hails from Kannur told Express over phone.

yeah, cause when I'm randomly snapping pictures I always capture a ufo almost perfectly framed. And when I do, the ufo always looks really crappy, spectacularly bad. Didn't even bother to motion blur it.

how about dismissing it because it's a really really crappy photoshop job first, and second, that same cut and paste UFO has appeared, exactly the same tilt and angle, in various other "honest to goodness really realz ufo" photos

Um, take a look in the bottom right corner of the image there are two men standing there, completely ignoring the (fake) UFO hovering just to their left and right as one is facing the water and one facing the cars direction. The one facing the water wouldn't be able to miss that big silver thing. Now quit wanting to believe this crappy fake photo is real so bad you throw logic right out the window.
