^^^ that will be minus 500 points, lol ^^^

I'm 34 and I've been drinking coffee since I was just a little girl. Trust me, it doesn't age you. Now, could it be somewhat addictive? Maybe. Not as addictive as ATS
better yet, ATS and coffee mixed together... now that's a tough habit to break.

i don't understand why americans talk about drinking 'pots' of coffee.
a pot is like a jug isn't it?
do you drink the whole pot?

An average pot of coffee is 12 cups.
1 cup is about 6 oz of coffee.

So a pot would be 72 oz of liquid.

Have a cup?

Why would anyone even want to break that awesome combination of addictions?

ATS mixed with Coffee=A great experience

My mornig coffee, come share a cup! c(_)

Don't mind if I do. I have it twice a day and it is afternoon-coffee-time here; hope you don't mind.

I love ATS and coffee, but I have to be careful as the combination is very conducive to altered states of consciousness, and there should probably be a warning label.

I made up a little bit of coffee-porn just for your thread; I wanted to show off my rig: a Presto percolator...

It makes the best coffee ever.

I think this is a great idea for a thread and a fun way to connect ATS coffee-hounds so that we can share our love of the bean, and plan the overthrow of cyberspace.

See you in the morning,

YES! Morning coffee & ATS...priceless!!!
I've never been able to drink regular coffee though.
Love the aroma of it brewing, but it doesn't agree with me!

Then I found what used to be called, General Foods International Coffees!
I could drink them for some reason.
I liked the hazelnut. Now I drink the French vanilla.
Maxwell House took it over.

I really liked their Breakfast Chai Tea...that was even better!
It was so awesomely delicious! They quit making it though!

I even called the company to see if it was just temporary! It wasn't!

I found out last year that I'm allergic to coffee!
Only a number 3 allergy though. That's probably why the stronger, straight stuff bothers me!
I don't care, I still need my cup in the morning! Made with fresh collected, pure spring water!
Even in the summer when it's stinking, muggy, hot out yet some mornings!!!

What is A suggestive inquiry into Hermetic Mysteries????
Something I am not aware of yet....hermetic? I suppose I could google it, but that makes for small posts...
If you care to indulge my curiosity a little,
what's it about?

Sure,

Mary Anne Atwood was the daughter of Thomas South and they lived in England. T. South was known for having one of the most extensive libraries of books on occult and 'spiritual' matters in Europe. Mary and her father got along famously and she grew up sharing Thomas' love of the hidden and the mysterious, and became just as serious a student of such matters as her father.

Thomas had attempted to digest what he had learned in to a poem, and he asked Mary to collaborate with him by writing a commentary on the poem, and that is what grew in to A Suggestive Inquiry into Hermetic Mystery. She published it anonymously in 1850.

Shortly after it was published, Thomas decided that Mary had revealed too much, and he paid to buy up every one available and have them destroyed. Once he laid hands upon them and was satisfied that he had gotten all he could, he and Mary burned them.

It is considered by many that it was Mary's book that had been the catalyst that started a sort of revival of the occult and Alchemy in Europe and then America.

P.S. What you are seeing is a re-print of a re-print from 1918

That's cause I drink lots of coffee!!!

The age guesser in Anchorage guessed me ten years younger than I am.

I age well

I know though, some day I will wake up all wrinkly and weathered and realize I look old....
when I am...

Thank you for that explanation!
NICE BOOK!
Perfect for coffee!
*sip*
I once found a book in the public library that was dated around 1920 on ESP, and it has some of the best information in it. Especially on telepathy. The stuff in the book worked! Tried it on a teacher in high school.

I wish I could remember the books name though.
A lot of the older occult books almost seem to be better than today's modern versions.
I read so many of them when I was younger, I wish I still had them so I could take pictures and show ya.
I don't even remember the names anymore.

That's a great place to be in if you like creative writing. Once all that stuff composts down and you begin to forget all the where's and why-fors, then your own stuff can grow out of it.

Or you can make entertaining and meaningful correlations, that others might not see at first.

That's the way I see it. Everything goes into the subconscious and then is broken down and absorbed. Eventually it comes back out as your own experiences. Or that is one of the suspicions I have. The only reason I was reading it all was to understand what I was experiencing already.

That made me spew coffee transdimensionally through my pineal.

Yeah, I have to agree, that must be why it all always seemed like hindsight. Or always felt like checking in where you thought someone that 'knew' might live, only to find that they split a long time ago and only left a note.

I spew coffee often like that...

I am off to eat something.

Can't have just the mighty bean,
must put something in the gut besides this awesome ATS coffee!

Peace!

Good thread and good forum for the caffeine addicts.. I'm usually in remission

Work supplies free crappy coffee (they call it french roast, umm) and I make sure to drink enough to maintain consciousness at my desk.

Weekends and camping its another story and I enjoy a nice ground Sumatra or Palermo roast (or french is good as well). Later in the day add some bourbon and I enjoy coffee even more!

A morning after a long night of partying gimme a hot bowl of Pho and some iced Vietnamese coffee saves my life every time.

cheers!

Coffee has it's benefits.

I have to say this just cause I loved FInal Fantasy X2....

I love your name and avatar!

I can understand you wandering into my coffee thread and telling me it is bad for me. That is ok

I enjoy the company...even if you don't agree with my coffee habits.
A kettle? not here, it's a Mr Coffee Coffee maker.
I used to like a coffee press too, but never bought one myself, just went to a buddies house and we would use his. I was never a tea drinker, accept for Red Zinger, Celestial seasons. Now that is bad for you as it contains a lot of pesticides. Something I was not aware of until recently. I guess a lot of teas do now, and it is unregulated.

I think my cigarette habit is much worse than my coffee habit,
but I do appreciate your concern for everyone.
