To me ATS is an incredible wealth of information, usually conveniently overlooked by the MSM I'm thnkful to know there are so many thinking and analytical people out there, that's left in a physical world that seems to be dwindling in the way of thinking and critical analysis. It's comforting to know you can come here and get the gist of what's really going on behind our backs.

BTS Is also a good place to let what's bothering you like the rant forum, or see what bothers others. Or just General chit chat where you can throw out a question, and see if it's ever happened to some one else.

In other words it's a good place to hang out on when you have the time to do so.

What do you think ATS is? What purpose do you think it serves? What purpose do you think it SHOULD serve? Should it inspire millions of people to take up arms to overthrow a dictatorship somewhere? What, in your opinion, is the function of ATS other than offering old fools like me a place to chat, to pick up new ideas, or to reaffirm for myself that my thinking is correct (or incorrect)?

1:It is an awesome website!

2:For myself the purpose of ATS has been many things. Ways for me to share and examine my own experiences and other peoples, hoping to find commonalities. It is my home on the web. I find a lot of news here before it even hits the MSM. It's also a HUGE archive of some of the wildest and weirdest information I can find. Deny Ignorance is an awesome motto for ATS,we all want to find truth.

3:ATS is doing exactly what it should. It is evolving, and people who are unhappy with changes have a hard time adjusting, but they either get over it, or move on.

4:If it had that kind of political power it would not exist.

5: #2 answered this.

I found ATS over the years a great place for me to express myself in ways no other place has been able to allow me to do so. The people are great, even when the feedback is negative, I find it very valuable. I love hearing other peoples experiences, I love to share, compare and find commonalities between experiences. The conspiracies I find to be entertaining as well, even if they are somewhat out there, but then, so am I.

The thread was made by a site called " # hits the fan 411". A site created years back when ATS was split down the middle.

It probably doesn't even matter though if ATS is really controlled by the DoD or NSA, they can simply create posters here and talk about their favorite subjects.

Also, there's a poster on here with an avatar with an image of ATS being right next to the NSA on an "internet map" on a site called disclose TV.

If you search "abovetopsecret.com" on disclosetv.com you get NSA and GLP right next to ATS. Now many people will say it's just because people are linking back and forth from ATS to NSA. Though, If that was the case you would see Wikipedia be on top of the ATS dot. So obliviously there's NSA employees that dig conspiracies. How neat.




But it actually goes deeper. The site owners wife works for Halliburton, which I find, hilarious. Not really anything to go on, I just find it funny that the site owners wife works for a company that profits off death.

But why would the NSA even bother trying to control this site if they can just make posters and "debunk" everything? My opinion? Look at the Sandy Hook censorship. The mods showed their true colors there.

And if you like your profile on this site, I wouldn't start making threads about it, you'll most likely be ridiculed, put down, and banned.

The only thing saving this site is the posters, even then the good ones are dropping like flies, and there almost always banned.

Sounds too complicated of a scheme for the CIA.

Too many moving parts.

They can barely even smuggle drugs across the border.

All of us go through that particular growth pain here... we all have those moments of burn out where it seems like ATS isn't what it used to be. Truth is that's kind of right. It's not as it was when we found it... It's better. New voices and new ideas appear every single day... we just get too jaded and subjective to accept it as the way of things.

Asking what we think ATS is is actually a very poignant question because it allows us to take a step back and analyze whether or not we're looking at ATS in the right way to maximize our enjoyment of the site. Do we expect it to be what it's not? Do we contribute in a way that matches our own expectations? Are we part of the problem or part of the solution?

In the end, ATS is a website where we all choose to spend at least part of our time. For some it's an office, for others a living room. It's words on a screen that come to matter to us on some level, for better or for worse. Some of us think of it as a playground, others treat it like an outhouse. But for me...

This is home.

It is a site where you sign up and it gives the Lizards/Aliens/Mole people your location so they know not to bother us when they try and take over.
They will know we are to clued up for any of their shenanigans and tomfoolery.
ATS is the last bastion for earth and all who live on our wonderful planet, In a thousand years the founders will be looked upon as Gods, the mods just like Jesus and the members like disciples.
