Don't you realize how devastating it would be to Israel if Hezbollah got a hold of those chemical weapons? Israel is a small country, those weapons could wipe out the entire population.

Syria logistically poses several security concerns to Israel so it makes sense. To them it is strategically sound and reasonable. They have many human intelligence resources on the ground in the Middle East and have done this sort of thing many times when they felt there was a threat to there National security and interests based on there intelligence sources.

Using that reasoning Mexico has the authority to violate US airspace and strike targets in the US as they have transferred arms to criminal elements in Mexico (i.e. the whole Fast and Furious caper).

In reality, this is a violation of Lebanese and Syrian sovereignty by a country which throughout its history has proven its willingness to violate state sovereignty.

Only when they feel threatened. Israel was fine with Assad in power as long has he kept his house in order and maintained control of his chemical weapons. But now that Assad is unraveling, Israel has to take the necessary steps to protect their civilians.

There are some parts of Israel where there are no Palestinians; that's where Hezbollah could strike with their newly acquired chemical weapons. Outside of the Gaza strip and the West Bank, you'll find mostly Jews.

Terrorism is a chicken chit way to fight a battle. The correct way is to form an army and confront your opponent face to face. The Israelis have never resorted to terrorism; they're too brave for that.
