So does this give the Syrians the green light to conduct strikes on american arms transfers to Israel?weapons shipments to rebels from Libya in Turkey? where is the logic here? And if any any chemical weapons were struck are they going to turn around and blame the Syrian's for doing it?
This is akin to a one on one fight with Israel jumping in occasionally for a cheap shot

That is true.

Just remember, the person in the jet is just following orders. Also, its all about "self" when doing a strike. That's the truth.

what a cluster duck.

Seriously why would Israel want to stick its nose where its not wanted.

And Syria of all places. They sure love to kick a man when he is down dont they.

You would think. But the reality is that Israel does not share most of it's intelligence with the US unless it has an advantage point for them. Israel does not answer to the US and will do whatever it feels it must in it's own best interests and has been well known to leave the US and other allies out of the loop until after the fact or not at all.

Syria logistically poses several security concerns to Israel so it makes sense. To them it is strategically sound and reasonable. They have many human intelligence resources on the ground in the Middle East and have done this sort of thing many times when they felt there was a threat to there National security and interests based on there intelligence sources.

What are the losses? What is the damage done? It's obvious why and what about the rest of the story?

I'm not surprised a bit. People are trigger happy in the Middle East. In my imagination a rocket landing in your backyard is now normal. It just feels like this has all been going on for years, between one group or another, like the road runner and coyote with their rockets. While it may or may not lead to something bigger it will certainly not be the last.

it is in the very nature of the beast israel to stick its nose where it is not wanted, always totally regardless of human suffering.

I fully believe that this is just another Israeli ploy to lure Iran into war. Our invasive foreign policy has pissed off a lot of people around the world. Israel is just doing what it learned from us. The difference is, our hand is currently big enough to discourage much retaliation. Israel is already hated for not only their views towards Arab countries but also their oppression of Palestinians. I wish I could say that the US would tell them to deal with their own blow back but I think everyone here knows that if Israel goes to war, we go to war. After POTUS speech the other day, I get the feeling we are also trying to find a way in to this war. Maybe that is why Israel threw the first punch? This way, the US citizens will back us getting involved under the guise of "defending Israel".

Well, Israel probably has justifiable reason to carry out the attack. So long as weapons are being transferred to Hezbollah to attack Israeli, both Lebanon and Syria - who do virtually nothing to stop these illegal shipments - have no choice but to let Israel do what it needs to do to assure its citizens safety.

Unlike the hoary "blame Israel" crowd, which takes all political events in the most simplistic manner imaginable, in real life, running a state is a difficult thing. The prospect of terrorist attacks against your civilians is a very big matter. There's not a single self-respecting nation on earth who wouldn't intrude into another nations territory to take out entities intent on harming your nation.

Only someone so blown away by the headbeating propaganda could fail to see the reasonableness of this position.

In the case of the "US" transferring weapons to Israel. To date, Israel only uses its arsenal (which is partly Israeli in origin) in defense exercises only.

Take this event. Israel would cheerfully live in peace with it's neighbors were it not for Hezbollah and Hamas - and their patron Iran - using every trick in the book to harass Israel into activity. And when they finally do, it's as if the word "context" no longer existence to help us make sense of the world.

Yes poor innocent Israel that shining beacon of Democracy is as always the innocent victim. We will of course overlook that fact that Israel had a hand in creating both Hezbollah and Hamas. We will of course overlook that fact that Israel keeps building illegal settlements on land that belongs to Palestine. These videos pretty much sums up how it is between Israel and Palestine.

Israel will keep up these unprovoked attacks trying to get a response from Syria, at which point they'll plasy the victim card as always and scream for the "international community" to step in and save them. After all, why should Israel pay with cash and blood to do the job, when stupid goy cattle will be made to do it for them!

The Highly trained and most moral force in the world, the IDF, only excels in the face of zero opposition and no return fire, so it makes sense for the cowards to stay safe at home, taking pot shots at Palestinian farmers and children, while the rest of us get to go and bomb, then invade, their neighbours for them.
The constant overflights of Lebanon by Israeli warplanes are a ridiculous provocation on an almost weekly basis, yet you can be sure that if the Lebanese forces actually shot one of those aircraft down, Israel would again scream that they are the good guys and in the right, even though international law says otherwise.

I'm not an Anti-semite, I'm rabidly Anti-A$$hole! Let's face it, the Israelis, by their very nature, seem to view anyone not "Jewish" as an opportunity for exploitation and servitude to themselves, so will (and often do) stab us in the back while they smile at us and thank us for our money and support.

Why would Israel do that? That's an honest question. "It's in their back yard" doesn't make sense to me. Mexico poses no end of threats to the US in terms of economy, illegal immigration, drugs, and violence, but I don't see our jets pummeling Mexico City.

Does Mexico possess chemical weapons and are there terrorists waiting in the wings to scoop them up and use them against the United States?
