In the case of the "US" transferring weapons to Israel. To date, Israel only uses its arsenal (which is partly Israeli in origin) in defense exercises only.
Take this event. Israel would cheerfully live in peace with it's neighbors were it not for Hezbollah and Hamas - and their patron Iran - using every trick in the book to harass Israel into activity. And when they finally do, it's as if the word "context" no longer existence to help us make sense of the world.edit on 4-5-2013 by dontreally because: (no reason given)

Why would Israel do that? That's an honest question. "It's in their back yard" doesn't make sense to me. Mexico poses no end of threats to the US in terms of economy, illegal immigration, drugs, and violence, but I don't see our jets pummeling Mexico City.
