This is the Boston Police scanner...from what I know, this isn't a special scanner...just the Boston PD scanner. So is there nothing else going down in Boston right now??? Boston is a large city...could there just be a crime spree in downtown Boston and nothing happen because they are all up in Watertown and focused there?

All the channels are in normal use. The scanner only scans - Oo - the frequencies in use. Because there is a lot of chatter on the emergency channels we're hearing, they will hog the scanners attention. There are still other channels being used by other officers.

Remember that the scanner is not a police radio.

what I find curious is how very few of the bombs have gone off, and of the ones that have, no-one has been hurt by them. There was someone on the TV just now saying there were "exposives all over the neighbourhood". Well these devices have obviously been there for hours, yet are not being detonated. If you are going to plant bombs, it is usually to injure/kill people, yet they plant them in a residential area during a time when everyone's asleep, and don't detonate many of them, and of the ones that did go off, they did not appear to achieve much. It does not make much sense to me really. It does make you wonder if it is just a distraction, as what is the point of placing bombs in positions that don't do much damage to the area or people, and that are easily found by police ???

lol yeah absolutely no point in trying to recap at this moment.

Is it true they're reporting these guys are foreign and came here about a year ago? For highly trained terrorists I'd figure the bombings would have been worse though many people could have died that didn't. Plus tonight kind of makes me think they must be highly trained, whoever they are...
