That's in case he doubles back around or some one affiliated with him starts to cause some havoc.

Wolf Blitzer started talking about the contradiction of stories last night, then the feed was cut. Technical problems.

I see this drawback as a tactical one. Let the suspect think he is safe and let him flush himself out.

I picked up on that, units sent to investigate.

Regardless of the questions we may have, one thing is true: these things DOD happen last night. Too many witnesses. Too much chatter on scanners for this to be staged.

There are probably other perps.

Anyone remember the surveillance video of the brothers?? THIS GUY, number 2, had an OBVIOUS leg problem. He DID NOT outrun all those cops while carrying explosives and firearms. Just not an acceptable hypothesis.

State Police Colonel Alvin has confirmed that the bombing suspects are NOT the same as the 7-11 robbery suspects.
Also they do not believe the suspect has either left the greater boston area nor intend to, citing ties to the local area...

"We cannot continue to lock down an entire city or the entire state"
"We are confident we have done all we can at this time, based on the evidence we have"

In responce to reporter question about how the suspect escaped he stated...
"The suspect abandoned the vehicle used in the police pursuit from cambridge and was able to continue fleeing on foot."

Gov Duval reports over 200 rounds and explosives exchanged in the initial incident with the suspects.
edit on 4-19-2013 by Springer because: Corrected Colonel Alvin's rank

Pretty interesting details on dead suspect.

Intense personality. He was married and had a child with a college woman he converted to Islam.

Former Friend Says Boston Suspect Had 'Air of Power,' Was 'Intense'

Ok, just got up, sounds like the hunt is still very much on going. Is it still around 9000 people involved in the search? Are they concentrating on Boston/Cambridge/Watertown area, or have they expanded? Do they think he's hiding in the house, or was he speeding away in a car (3 cars?). Still only 1/2 suspects on loose, or have they announced more people?

Besides not always being so awesome that we would like them to be, there is mainly a problem of bureocracy. Those things are pretty darn secret and access is severly limited... Especially for stuff that isn't supposed to exist. If it even does.

...or does it?

Ehh.. Not quite. This is like searching for a needle in a haystack at this point.. There are soo many unknowns still and this is early in the game. Its been less than a week and we have one suspect dead and the other on the run. There is good indication that there could be others involved.

Allright So lets say there are 5 people involved. 10 people, dont care. Where are those drones that every citizen of USA fears ? Satelites that can see through walls, televisons and webcams that can be hacked so your government can see what you are doing ? Where is the police state that so many American members of ATS have claimed USA has turned in to after Obama was voted in the office ?

I got your police state right here
