Then common sense be damned! It's an orb leaving a contrail.

But please do have those ducts checked for mold. If you own the house, you can check to see if insurance will cover the inspection and cleanup. Otherwise, insist the landlord does it. It's health related.

Can you think of any possible reason why a flying object would want to make itself look like something other than a plane?

Is it even remotely possible that what you saw and captured is an optical illusion? remotely?

That would be the wrong lens for the job. I would us a minimum of 300mm, more if you can afford it, to get any sort of decent capture at that altitude.

Really, your lens is not up to your task. Your depth of field...sucks.
Your "orb" matches up distance-wise with the front of the plane. It's a reflection, overpowering the other things around it.
