I had recently ascribed to the notion that perhaps we have already been under a "NWO" for quite some time now; put in place little by little over a long period of time. The overton window comes to mind.
My reasons? Merely by long term observation.

IMO income tax of any form should be removed, having said that.... things need to be paid for. There are states in which I may choose to live based on how I think things should be handled. I personally agree with the notion that our monetary system is controlled by a private entity outside the craziness that is government. Think about it... The US government can't even handle a simple budget, and people think they should control the creation of money? There's a thousand reasons why the government shouldn't dictate money creation.

no, we have all the worst bits of the current world, though they are interspersed with freedoms that still exist.

you're arguing semantics. it's sad really. the term "new world order" does not refer to any change that takes place in the governance of the world. it has specific connotations associated with it like a one world government, a single currency, everything being controlled by a small oligarchy...there are more, but you should probably research it yourself and come back when you've learned enough to participate.
