Indeed complete with "scorpion tail" or "dragon tail" you can see a ribbed portion of perhaps a chest, but unfortunately it's been decapitated. This could be bad news if these cockatrice eggs survive on impact and hatch here on earth too.

Looks like a fungus to me too. Which reminds me of something I read that went something like this:

"Every animal has a natural predator, I'm beginning to think fungus may be man's."

This was said in reference to alternative views of what causes certain diseases.

As an example, some believe "systemic candida" (yeast that has spread throughout the body) may be the cause of cancer, and not just a byproduct of cancer. Interesting idea.

HAHA. Maybe it is radioactive. They should have rolled all over it to see if they could gain superpowers. I wonder if this could be some type of fungi or plant, like was suggested, that got deposited after a large impact explosion rained this living debri. That seems highly unlikely, but it's the best I have right now. Maybe the sightings in the sky and the yellow balls are just a coincidence. Perhaps they were rained down in the same way frogs, fish, snakes, and other creatures rain down. But if this were true, these same types of fungi or plants would have to be discovered growing somewhere nearby. Not totally out of the question imo, although not all that likely either.
