I cannot stop laughing about this.

All of the doomsday talk with Nibiru, Mayen prophecies, global warming, meteorites and it turns out that the end of the world happened because some Chinese guy poked a yellow blob with a stick.

WOW, thats is crazy, when he described the color of the meteorite mostly green with a red tail, I got a flashback to 2010. We were on a lake at around 12:00 am and 6 of us witnessed a very strange meteorite coming in at an angle damn near parrellel to the ground, it was slow moving very low to the ground and HUGE. We never saw it hit the ground. But We couldnt believe the color (Green) size ( estimate around a school bus) Height ( it looked like I could of thrown a rock at it). Speed (was unbelievable slow moving)

I seems like such a naïve thing to do. Poke. Poke. Sniff.

I can see so many people doing so. Especially the 10-12 yr olds. "ooooo-gross! What is it?"

At the same time it IS a black comedy.

If we have indeed been rained on by passing celestial bodies it really takes the "nothing on earth can be created or destroyed" lesson and tosses it in the trash. We have had things added all along.

IMHO, if/when the world gives us up and can no longer sustain us, it won't be a big bang, mass hysteria or anything of the like. It'll be slow and painful. Just like every other extinction, the animals will just mill around, looking for relief, and most will die off.

I think its a cows heart, I have ate several of them in my time, and when hunting with natives they eat the liver raw right on site, hot. It is very rich but surprisingly tasty, but extremely messy, a really good way to flub up very nice expensive MultiCam hunting cloths.

This is a heart, see the anterior artery attachment point?

Dam, now Im hungry

I call this thing a hoax... I think it is a man made blob, like a publicity stunt... America has area 51, and there is a lockness monster in lake chaplain, big foot woods, HUGE tourist attraction.. Now this is a conspiracy site, they could be making their own tourists attraction.

Where is the proof that this fell from the sky? Can we be certain that it originated from space? I think there are far too many questions on this one to use it as end of the world/alien invasion evidence.

My guess? Kitchen/lab waste.

Dude!! Did you touch it with your finger and taste it too?

If this is a true object from space-the Chaos Factor is, well, astronomical

I guess the Chinese never saw "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill", or they'd have left it alone.

"It's meteor s#!"

Would it be possible for some sort of alien fungus to attach itself or remain in a meteor, and as it enters the atmosphere, sends bits of this fungus down to the ground where it begins to grow rapidly?

I saw one of those in 2010 as well. The tail of this one wasn't red, it was yellow. Bright enough to cast light on the ground (roughly 2x full moon brightness).

Overwhelming consensus was that I saw a bolide. *shrug*

Could it be star jelly?

Very odd...strange how the slime is supposedly red/brown on the inside, yet turns a bright yellow when in contact with the atmosphere.

It could be a form of slime mold...

Slime molds are possible causes, appearing suddenly, exhibiting a very gelatinous appearance at first and later changing to a dust-like form which is dispersed by rain and wind. The colours range from a striking pure white as in Enteridium lycoperdon, to pink as in Lycogala epidendrum, to purple, bright yellow, orange, and brown.

en.wikipedia.org...

Looks like a type of mold called "Troll's Butter" (fuligo septica)

Still doesn't explain the strange reddish brown insides...

Grits from space? I'm just picturing the 'space dinner' from Space Balls, with some big burly space chef saying, "You burnt the grits again!?!" *pushes the space eject button*
