New pope being announced!

Francisco, or Francis, is the name chosen for the new papal leader. No details on who he was before, just yet, but please add whatever you hear. Posting as this is a major world leader, and thus can affect world events and attitudes.

He's from Argentina, Bergolio is the name. Apparently, this wasn't a name that was being talked about much. He is 76 years old, and reported to be one who thinks for himself. He's said to be well-educated. Opinions? Thoughts?

Interesting....the news is stating he "will also be Peter". Not sure I ever heard that phrase before, but then, could have missed it.

So is the Vatican self fulfilling the prophecy of the one that would destroy the church? This is kind of bizzare

EDIT: Forgive me, his name is not Peter, but Pope Francis. The news commentator said he would be known as Peter for some reason, I think, or maybe I just wanted his name to be Peter so I could tell my girlfriend I was right, dangit
