Ancient Mars could have supported primitive life, NASA says

www.foxnews.com

It's official: Primitive life could have lived on ancient Mars, NASA says.

A sample of Mars drilled from a rock by NASA's Curiosity rover and then studied by onboard instruments "shows ancient Mars could have supported living microbes," NASA officials announced Tuesday in a statement and press conference

So life likely existed on mars at one point in time....

I think most people believe its very possible, but I wanted to post this because it basically said "its official that life could have existed" on mars.

I really wish we'd find evidence of sentient life on the red planet... Not just Rocks

Now that would be a story...

My first thoughts were....

- They found something? And want to break it to us gently?

Maybe it is a full eco-system where fossilised creatures roamed and now lizards hunt for guinea pigs. I doff my helmet off to you Arken

Rover finds first life-friendly environment on Mars

slowly, slowly

Look at our planet, how life thrives in extreme circumstances. it is only a matter of time until life of some form is found elsewhere, to assume that we are unique is the height of human arrogance presuming this universe is only for Us.

Actually a few people did... Apparently I didn't search the correct words...

Someone else beat both of us by about four hours

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Still, its always worth a mention... at least no one has to deal with the religious argument that life only exists here because we have no proof of it anywhere else...

Now we do... officially

Have a flag for out typing me though

thanks for the link S and F - this does not surprise me, I think humans are not native to earth.
I mean how could we be we are so at odds with the planet and her ecosystems.

We are the only creature who needs to clothes to survive [ in europe and most of north america for sure]

How come we do not have pelts and fur like other creatures or means of warming ourselves - i often feel we are not natives here. Maybe we came from Mars.
