Ah, but your claim was

The United States Supreme Court did a compete investigation before they made there decision in respect to Roe vs. Wade. In relation to there findings, in consideration, was the conclusion that a rather large amount of people in Death Row were unwanted pregnancies.

Your article was published in 2008 and done by people from Florida State University and Washington State University. As far I as I know those aren't justices and Roe v Wade was decided in 1973. So what did the Supreme Court investigate about unwanted pregnancies and what was the Supreme Court's findings on unwanted pregnancies and crime?

The Republicans lost me years ago and it is sad really cause I don't care much for the Democrats either!

Perhaps soon people will wake up to the TWO PART ONE AGENDA system we have going on...

As I've aged an seen how things are I've naturally leaned a bit right.
And in the political spectrum i'm somewhere in the middle.
I've even considered switching from dem to repub.

However I can not in good conscience switch to a party that would deny others their rights because of their sexual preference.

As far as i'm concerned. If you believe in the constitution. there's no way you could be a republican.
All their views are based on religion. And the us government cannot make any laws based upon a religious belief.
Period.

So yes not only is the republican party extreme. But unconstitutional as well IMO.
And sometimes just plain dumb as dirt.
Especially after reading that one story about the guy wanting to tax bicyclists.
/facepalm.

I'm not sure a new study was needed to point this out. The 2012 elections were a pretty solid indicator that this is true. It was an election that should have been a shoe in for Romney and the GOP, and they ended up losing ground. If they don't realize it and change some things soon, they will lose more ground in the 2014 mid-terms.

The moderate "swing" vote should have been all over Mitt Romney, but he continually alienated voters throughout his campaign and was undermined by other conservative candidates who could not control their mouths on social issues. Here's a clue: Legitimate Rape and Will of God Rape are not campaign talking points!

Oh God.

Republicans are extreme!!!

When they put up rinos like Romney and McCain what they want is for the right to be more like the left so what the hell do we need two parties for eh?

So the right needs to buy votes, believe in the nanny state and they will "win".

That Cnn poll is worthless fact is the largest voting block in this country is neither the Democrat or Republicans its independents.

I was a registered Republican for years. My very first election I was able to vote in was the second term of Reagan. I voted for Daddy Bush both times. I did not vote for Clinton either time.

Fast forward...I voted for "Dubya" in 2000 and 2004 but it was shortly after the 04 elections that I started doing a lot of soul searching and research...that is how I found the Libertarians. I voted for Bob barr in 08 and Gary Johnson in 2012. I do not regret voting for what I thought was right and I will NEVER again vote for the "lesser of two evils".

The Repubs lost me back then for their over the top moral positions and the interference of Pat Buchanan's "moral majority"...and, in my opinion, the Repubs have now completely fallen off the cliff into la-la land. You cannot legislate morality...you cannot legislate "good will toward man"...

You can...however...legislate freedom. You can empower people to do what is best for them...to make a living doing whatever they can...

Oh well...maybe one day when people snap out of the dream state...they will see the two party lie...red or blue...left wing...right wing...two wings of the same bird of prey...and "We the people" are their prey.

Hopefully in the upcoming midterms and 2016...folks will consider this...

Correct. But the GOP put forth no effort in 2012 to get that swing vote. The fact is, you can't win the Presidency without it, and in social matters, America is becoming more liberal. This means a conservative candidate needs to at least try to sway some of those voters with something more than complete dismissal.

America is become more liberal?

Please that was hilarious everything the current administration and its supporters want is the antithesis of what that word means,.

Telling me the republicans need to start buying votes-NO

I watched 2 presidential elections with the current potus do and say worse things than those evil righties ever have.

Romney "vilified' the poor
Obama "vilifies" the rich

The only difference is the number of voters.

I actually got more conservative as I got older LOL but it was the 2000 Republican debates that I saw where that party was going. Would have been interesting if we would have had McCain instead of Jr. Then they put McCain with Palin and I knew they were trying to lose just like they did previously with Dole. Finally put a rich elite in there and the deal was sealed.

It was almost like the Republican Party (not it's average members) wanted Obama to win...

The perfect evidence for the statement "Republicans are too Extreme," is right here in this thread.

Look at how they respond. They blame others. They act like the survey can't be trusted. They refuse to acknowledge it.
They start saying extreme things in their defense of being accused as extreme!! They are bordering on delusional and the quicker they realize it, the better for them.

I find it hilarious that the american public still has faith in the federal government period. Oh BTW, this is kinda out of context, you have about 5 years until the american currency falls. Make sure you invest in precious metals. Don't be a fool and think you're saved up cash, American currency, is gonna be worth anything. Good luck everybody.

call me very proud to be called "extreme".

Your premise that Liberals or Democrats or mainstream republicans or independants etc. do not support those same things is where the issue is.

These kinds of statements are frankly silly..."I am a Democrat/Republican because I love America!!!!"

"Civil Liberties"?? Absolutely...just not for Muslim Americans! Or Athiests! Or Gays! etc. etc.

"Personal Responsibility?" "Self Reliance?" ..Damn right! Unless it is an oil company...those folks need some subsidies...and Wall Street?...Only "self reliant" when they make those profits!...Only "responsible" when times are good. When they lose money? Well that "self reliant" thing? When they commit fraud...that "personal responsibility" thing?...No...we bail them out and socialize the losses, we don't hold them responsible because prosecution requires regulation adn they are "too big" to be prosecuted...to big to lose money...so they take ours.

And do you really think that people that aren't in the right wing are all opposed to "the right to defend yourself!"...maybe...just maybe...they are opposed to folks murdering other folks? It's not an either or choice, unless of course you refuse to see the middle...which is what this poll represents.

Most Americans can "think"...and that is a good thing.

I challenge everyone here to denounce the prefabricated belief systems they attach themselves to...ie: republican/democrat...conservative/liberal...red/blue

After you have shed that cloth try to find the common denominator and work from there. At the point you get to a heated disagreement whoever has to use FORCE to accomplish their point loses!

ready...GO

And it is the independants that voted for Pres. Obama last round and the election before that.

The right has been becoming ever more extreme for the past 7 years...and it is killing the party. No doubt.

The GOP formula is: "Sound like conservatives and vote like Democrats". It's not working anymore. I'd rather have a crazed full-blown socialist like Mr. Soetero than a weak sister like McCain or Romney. At least then the crumbling starts faster and the reset button can be hit.

Why do people care so much?

Let the Gop do what the Gop does means Democrats will win every election.

I do love how "superior" the left "feels" right now just means they are scared of the right and still the election continues to remind people of just "how bad" the gop is.

Oh do you mean like for the last 12 years the last potus is to blame and the how the current right wingers in the House are to blame?

Haven't seen their opposites own up to anything.
