You are right it was Atlantis. I confused it because they were on earth in that episode.

Anyways, he is a kids show host. Its like the lady from lamb chops play along making a cameo on law and order....

He is a kids show host. He is NOT a scientist. Even if he at one point WAS a student of science or engineering. Like the episode in question asked of Rodney, What has he published lately?

Is he working for the government and so can not publish a damn thing because he is working on top secret projects? I think not.

Like I said his kids show was fun. WHEN I WAS A KID. I didnt know any better. But passing yourself off to be some sort of scientist is a lie. That is why I dont respect him. He is no better than a HS science teacher. He just appears on TV, so you guys think he some acclaimed scientist.

He is a hack, and a has been who is owed some favors. THAT is why he gets some air time. That and because dont know better than to think he is some sort of specialist.

If acknowledging that makes me a hater then so be it. I will not praise a global warming, kids show shill with the equivalent education of my HS biology teacher.

And SG1 was better. Atlantis was cancelled ahead of time because it sucked. It killed the franchise and ruined all chances for Universe.

Here are some things others think of Bill Nye´s expertise. I was going to leave it alone, but I started actually looking into this guy.

He is a complete corporate tool and a dis-info sell out. He peddles global warming and attacks religion like it was going out of style in an effort to divide us more.

He is a real scum bag. In a way I am glad I was mocked for not supporting this idiot. I was curious to double check the things I had noted about him in the past and in the process I learned allot more about how ill qualified he is to teach anyone about anything.

He is not suitable to be teaching adults about almost everything not show business and propaganda.

Did anyone notice when the anchor tells him to make sure people know it won't be hitting us and not to get nervous, he says "Yeah, well you should get nervous but not about this."

Any idea what he is talking about?

I think they say there is a chance the same meteor will hit us when it comes back around in 2020. Maybe that's it?

They could have a real scientist use layman's terms. How about the stations meteorologist, or a college professor that is used to speaking to freshmen. Anyone. Bill Nye is used because of his recent controversy attacking creationalists and religion in general. He placated to the global warming crowd in the hope of getting attention from the right people like an attention whore. It is his new thing. Its what played out has-beens do when their routine gets old.

I doubt he even believes in global warming. He just likes the attention he gets selling it. I doubt he even cares for evolution or creationism, he just likes pissing someone off and clinging to their opposition like a stray dog.

I am surprised they don't say all the quakes in the world are from global warming.

There is a correlation between coming out of ice ages and increased tectonic action.

my 37 year old son watched this guy on tv when he was a kid. Kids stuff nothing too deep or really scientific. Baking soda volcanoes and stuff like that.

First off, Bill Nye isn't a scientist, he has a degree in Mechanical Design, he's an engineer.

Second, isn't widely accepted that GW is caused mainly by the Earth's natural cycle and that we are actually in the very early stages of the next Ice Age? If anything, human effect on global warming is so small that it really doesn't matter.
