since i haven't looked at the school website, is it possible those not listed were teacher aides and that's why they weren't listed as faculty ?

I forget how far back but we were talking about whether or not Nancy Lanza had her guns locked up or not. According to this article, it sounds as if she did, but again, take it with a grain of salt. Also, according to this article, Adam did NOT know about the handguns. He ONLY knew about the rifles and learned to shoot them by the age of 9.

My question would be,

1.) Did he find the handguns when he retrieved the rifles?
2.) Did someone else place her handguns at the scene?
If he found the handguns, it could explain why he didn't shoot them, because he didn't know how.

He's getting worse

Just days before Adam Lanza would begin a bloody rampage beginning with shooting her multiple times in the head, mother Nancy Lanza confided that 'she was losing him' and that 'he was getting worse.' An anonymous drinking buddy said Nancy made the remarks in a disturbing conversation over craft beers at a bar called My Place in Newtown, Conn. The friend asked not to be named by press.

'She just looked down at the glass and said, 'I don't know. I'm worried I'm losing him,' the friend told the Daily News.

'She said it was getting worse. She was having trouble reaching him.'

It wasn't the first time Nancy told him something was wrong with her son.

'Nancy told me he was burning himself with a lighter. In the ankles or arms or something,' he recalled of a conversation they had roughly one year ago. 'It was like he was trying to feel something.'

'It was weird. She never really talked about (Adam),' he said. 'She mainly talked about her oldest kid (Ryan). I knew about the other one but she never spoke much about him.

'She looked disturbed. She was looking down at her glass and kind of talking slowly.'

The friend never met Adam.

'I asked her if she was getting him help and she said she was,' the friend recalled.

For Nancy, who was generally a happy woman, the melancholy talk was eerily out of character.

'You have to know Nancy to know how weird that was,' he said. 'She was just always so full of life.'

The friend knew she had 'at least a dozen' firearms most of which were larger rifles. He was unaware of the pistols.

Nancy was always careful with her firearms.

'Nancy was a responsible gun owner,' the friend said. 'It was important that she teach her son how to responsibly use a firearm.'

One girl in the class survived by playing dead among her classmates. I'm sitting here stunned, glad, numb, everything at once. I can't imagine what this poor child must have gone through to have to fake being dead and hearing your classmates die around you as the bullets hit their bodies. Unreal.

Lone survivor?

One incredibly brave little girl is the only survivor of her first grade class because she played dead while her friends were killed around her by gunman Adam Lanza. The unnamed girl's story was revealed after her mother attended grief counseling with a local pastor Jim Solomon. The unnamed girl, 6, waited until she believed it was safe hiding among the corpses, then ran from the building covered with blood from head to toe.

ah geeez, he didn't know how to use them ??
yet, he shot himself with one just fine ... how's that ?

and, please don't misinterpret this, but with 2 hands, why was he only firing ONE gun at a time ? he's supposedly experienced, right ?

i've seen 2 rifles shot simultaneously, so it's not like it's some super-skill or anything.
(especially with 30 shot clips at his disposal)

and after all of this, for some reason, i'm expecting it won't be long til we hear how he was a member at ATS and had an AFF profile too

I am trying to picture this as really happening and can't.
We were told how meticulous he was in shooting each victim several times but she missed out
every time and ran away covered in blood?

I can't imagine this is just now coming out in a story now.
Great if true...sort of.

Totally agree Lady.
I don't look for justice in this world but leave it in the hands of GOD.
But, I still feel the need to uncover what is hidden in the now.

I hope we can keep close tabs about the obits and funerals for these people.
I just feel like the name of victims released might not be in stone either (bad pun).
With so many changing IMPORTANT details, I feel it is important to make sure
who these people really are and if they were.

Oh, right with you there! Justice isn't my concern, just yet, so much as truth. "if they were".....interesting choice of words. Yeah.....gotta wonder, these days. Not that I would put it past some to do something this horrible to further their agenda. There are some really evil people in the world.

Correct. They did say the rifle was found in the back of the car but now saying the shots came from the rifle. So he has two rifles now?

That is what they are saying now..... I find it VERY strange, that they stated so clearly that he was found with two handguns, and a rifle was found in the car, and now they are claiming he had another rifle (because that's what the shots came from), and maybe more handguns!

No, they are saying there were two handguns and the rifle with the shooter and a shotgun in the car.

That's what they say NOW. That isn't what they said initially. Initially, they stated that he had two handguns, and didn't say any other guns were with him, and also that they found a rifle in the car. Now, since the medical examiner stated the killing shots all came from a rifle, they are stating that he had a rifle with him, and maybe even four handguns, instead of two. How would the police mistake three-five guns for two?

The gun count changed because the details changed. I guess the poor man doing those exams didn't realize he was supposed to claim that all the shots were from hand guns.

wow, really ??
ok, please correct me where i'm obviously wrong cause from what i recall, that story isn't possible.

it was reported (yeah i know a bunch of BS was reported too, that's the point)
* the children were escorted to the firehouse to be re-united with parents
* no one was treated at the scene (covered in blood, she would have been)
* no one survived from the classes attacked
* 2 classrooms of children were killed (20) / then how did her class have 16 students ?

aren't clergy bound by confidentiality when performing "counseling" ?
if so, why would he talk about this to any press, especially a foreign one ?

The only thing I would question in your very good summary was weren't all 20 kids in one classroom?
The only person killed in the second was allegedly a teacher in a bathroom or a closet with all the kids huddled together.
Apparently, the cops who told this to the media couldn't tell the difference between a closet or a bathroom.

I just heard that report this morning and that was what they said "teacher was lone person killed in a bathroom or closet".
Oh and they also still said he "barged in and started firing with TWO HANDGUNS".
Can you believe it??

Newtown Bee has some obits.
Do we want to start a separate thread for compiling background on these people?

newtownbee.com...

I found the Hockley child is a next door neighbor to the Lanzas. Mother Nicole is a NY,NY attorney.
Dad Ian I can't tell if he is an English soccer player or is deceased from online searches or neither.

Jack Pinto is due to be buried today. I think both parents are attorneys in NY, also. I am hurrying to get ready
for work now so may need to do a more thorough search when I get home later.

Last call.

I don't care if it is a bathroom or a closet. Those in classroom bathrooms have one toilet and sink.
There is no way that all 20 kids more or less are being crammed into them as we are told.
There is no way they would all fit, I don't care if you did put one on top of the tank as Ms.Roiga says
in her account of piling 20 kids into HER classroom bath plus her, too.

Just saying.

You would be surprised how many people you can fit in a space.

Yes. But, I still can't picture 20 kids in a closet along with a teacher and an aide.
And whatever else was already in the closet.
Same with a small classroom W/C. Not going to happen. The only bathroom or closet story I might buy are the ones in the gym, the fourth graders.

It certainly does many you question a lot of things. I was kind of leaning in there with some of the explanations, until they threw in that he didn't know how to use a handgun. Now, I'm sitting here with a "Hmmmmm????"

And their saying she was the first child out of the building no less. This story keeps getting weirder and weirder and weirder and turns and turns and turns, so much I don't know which end is up, which end is down, which end is left, and which end is right. Ugh! I don't think we'll ever really know.

weren't all 20 kids in one classroom?
i cannot confirm or deny, don't know.
at first, i thought 20 per class was a reasonable assumption, it's likely, i was wrong.

however, one step further, let's say there were 16+2+2 ... students, teacher/aide, 2nd classroom occupants (also a reasonable assumption, especially based on "the story")

however, that takes me right back to "confidentiality"

let's just say if there wasn't confidentiality, i think i would find another counselor, would anyone else?

also, if only 1 was killed in the 2nd classroom, then "the story" becomes a bit more than shaky, agreed ?

yeah, unfortunately, i can believe they're still pushing it

repetition is the game these days ... ADD is prevelant ya know.

I honestly don't know. And you know Daily Mail. They're the worst when it comes to gossip. I take them with a grain of salt really. As my dad would say, "Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear."

I agree. I'm not buying this story. It would be great, and a miracle, but I just can't believe it. And to not only escape, but without even injury? I hope it's true, but I wouldn't anything past MSM at this point.

i'm gonna have to kinda sorta disagree with ya here.
only because i've never seen this one (at school) but i've certainly been in them in PA.

some student bathrooms were 3 stalls large and could easily fit 20 small kids+adult.
(and room to spare if they're on the toilets too)

not saying it's absolute, just verifying the possibility.
if it were in my current region, i'd call BS all day.

As my dad would say, "Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear."
i hope your dad meant ...
believe some of what you see, none of what you read and listen for the truth.
either way, it's still pretty good advice.
