Wow! lol You put two 'maybe's and two 'perhaps'es into four sentences and tried to force them into some kind of truth. Personally, if I put a bunch of maybe's and perhapses into a theory, then I just mark it up to utter nonsense. I guess that's why I'll never believe in a god or follow any religion. I just can't base my life on the unprovable.

You became 'self' aware. You separated yourself from the whole and since then you wish to return to wholeness.
This is the story of being human.
The 'self' is a mask we wear so we can pretend to be what we are not.
Awareness is what you are - there is no separate self.

Very interesting, I think sometimes we slip back into that state of awareness of becoming one with the whole, I have.

You are never not awareness. You just 'think' you are some thing else.
You are aware of everything including the thought that might arise that says you are not awareness. Any thing that arises is not you.
You are the awareness of arisings.

Really?

Trust me, some day you will believe.

I did post some scientific evidence for why we humans are spiritual,

I understand why you don't like organized religion, I have heard all the arguments, but why can't you see yourself as a spiritual being?

What makes your heart so hard?

Obviously you have chosen that specific avatar for a reason.; )
curmudgeon

I think you hang around these spiritual topics to try and convince yourself.

What makes you think I don't have doubts?
We all have them if we are honest with ourselves.

Eckhart Tolle's book The Power of Now, was a life changing book for me. This book will really helps with the mental noise and will teach you to live in the present moment... The only time that is real.

A few months ago, at the end of sleeping I became aware that I had been in a state of zero thought. It was as if coming out of the sleep I was coming into existence from a state of nothingness. There was no pain there, but there was no pleasure either. It was just nothing. Now, this will be okay when I die, but why would anyone actually seek to experience this while living? I want as many thoughts as I can possibly have.

Yes indeed total emptiness, or not? What is there in that space.

Ok like a lot of people I think a lot and it bugs me.

Our emotions come from our thoughts which have also helped us arrive to a perception, so an emotional body perception. The fact that people are doing something to bug you means that you have not mastered thoughts or emotions and you are probably perceiving something wrong.

OK.

Less theory and more experience is my advice for you. Follow me in the Carrot State and I'll show you
By the way, how often do you laugh?

Status update, I can do the empty thing in many different places also while listening to somebody else. No chatter, only silence but still total awareness of what the other is saying.

You are the empty thing.
You are total awareness.
You are the aware space in which all arises. Nothing can appear outside this presence that you are.
Even the thoughts that appear are not you.
You are the no thingness that is aware of things.
The silence hearing noise.
The sky with clouds passing by.
The waving ocean.

What you are has no name. It is prior to conception, prior to any 'thing'..

for me finding a place between thoughts is like trying to run to the corner without getting wet by running between the raindrops.

Give it a try when your thoughts are slower anyway. You'll find that crack

Watch this short video to see how you don't have to find the quiet.

The source of the waving is the ocean. Return to source and see and hear the waves and you will never be disturbed by the waves waving again.

Or is the source of the waving....the ocean? (to be thought in the voice of Eric Cartman).
