The weird thing is, everyone should be glad that it's a hoax and that Muslims didn't really do this. However, I get the feeling that some aren't really that happy about it at all.

I've had very few experiences with Muslim people but I do know a lot about very diverse people all trying to live together.

I grew up in Gary, IN. We rode our bikes all over town as kids but by high school dead bodies on the streets was pretty common.

People tend to see the bad ones as representative of the whole.

The ethnicity of criminals reflect the community. We had it all in Gary, latinos, blacks, white trailer trash and the more scarier variety of "Deliverance" types who inhabited one old swampy area, not to mention the vast variety of Europeans.

It's hard to not come out of that without some prejudices. I found growing a thick skin helps and when you see whatever variety of troublemaker it's easy for that automatic reaction of fear/caution to turn into hate/prejudice.

No doubt it's a toughie to overcome.

This looks like yet another right-wing “ISLAM IS TAKING OVER” thread from right-wing source.

I took a look at the first two pages of this thread and found no source to corroborate the story being discussed, the source itself appears to me to be somewhat nationalistic and right-wing. I took a look through the websites other articles found many to be anti-EU but many seemed to be anti-Islam. For this reason without another source that is more balanced to back it up I can only conclude that this is yet another one of these islamophobic groups like the EDL.

To be clear, I do agree that we have something of a immigration problem, I am all for restricting the number of people entering the UK. However I think this un-British bully boy tactic of targeting one ethnic group is wrong. To me that is what this website is doing, it is deliberately promoting anti-Islamic propaganda.

Are you reading my posts? I am simply saying that no religion is exempt from murder. You seem to imply that only muslims are capable of horrific crimes. No two wrongs do not make it right. IMO you should be fair in your assessment of religions otherwise you appear as a racist. That's my point.
