Whoopie - so the Republicans stop the Democrats....and vise versa.

Same old crap time and time again. But doesn't stop the cheerleaders on this site to think they are any different from their counterparts.

I just love it every time a liberal says "Bush tax cuts" make me all giggly inside...

You better put some more holes in that belt...we are going to need to raise taxes on everyone..including you middle class liberals that believe Obama's promise he will not raise taxes on the middle class...lol

He will blame it all on Bush I'm sure and you will believe him, so it is all good.

I'll take the tax hike just to watch you suffer. Is that blunt enough for you? Forget "Bush tax cuts"....this is a Leather N Lace tax increase aimed directly at you and your ilk. I can afford it and welcome it...how about you?

Perhaps not everyone is as well off as you are.

But regardless of that, lets see what happens to those funds when the tax cuts expire.

It's really simple what the Republican party needs to do...

Stop protecting a bunch of rich at the top who don't need protection because they're doing just fine on their own. Ironically a lot of them are rich liberals who won't even vote R and publicly advocate for more taxes and donate lots of money to charity. Being taxed at 15% or 35% won't make a difference because they will keep making money - just less of it. But their natural greed and inclination to make more money will keep the real "job creators" going.

Well they are taxed 15% (Capital Gains) and up to 35% while middle class is taxed on an average of 8% with a big part of the middle class well under that 8% since the smaller upper middle fills most of that bucket.

Back to the rich, so we tax them more and that generates 100 billion more a year...we spend right now 1 trillion more than what we take in. How do we pay off the other 900 Billion just to break even? Add in Obamacare that will double the cost of medical in a few short years plus the ever growing Government and we will need to generate an extra 2 trillion to not only break even, but to also start reducing the 16 trillion we already owe.

Tax the rich more and not raise taxes on the middle class has been a election smokescreen that Obama and crew has been beating into your heads for four years.

Stop being socially conservative. Hating gays, imposing religious views on women, trying to deport all illegals won't work too well. Let gays marry and be as miserable as heteros, let women have their abortions and bear their own consequences and legalize and tax all the illegals for the services they're using. Would you rather have cheap illegal labor drive down the wages for all of us? Would you rather have foster children and orphans or welfare moms which are supported at tax payers' expense?

I agree here...but a couple of points.
Obama says he is for gay marriage, but he will not lift a finger in the efforts to make it happen. Obama says a lot of things that will never happen, so maybe the answer is just to talk the talk but never walk the walk....

We do need to do something about our illegal alien problem. Once again Obama says he is all for them, feels for them, understands them, BUT he will, and has not done, nothing to fix the problem. I did see his small effort to give illegal alien children who came here under the age of 16 a path to citizenship as a gesture for the Latino vote more than anything else. Just as his vocalizing he is for gay marriage a while back with no actions taken as his gesture for the gay vote, but all this should not be just a political tool.

The Republican answer to continue to physically close the border and get a documented process in place so workers can come here legally is not popular with the Latinos, but it is best for all. I have a sister in law that has been on the waiting list for 7 years...I do not see amnesty as the answer. The republicans did it once and that didn't fix anything.

The bottom line is there are 10s of millions of workers that would love to come here just to work on a legal work visa program from all over the world. Why should we deny them that chance while rewarding those who came here illegally from basically a few countries south of us?

The problem is anything outside of doing nothing gets demonized by the left...

Stop being anti-worker. Unions may have crossed some lines but that doesn't mean they're bad at the core. Paid vacation, sick time, 40 hour workweek, unemployment insurance are all benefits that have been secured by unions.

Obama bailed out the Unions, not the automobile industry, and so he got their vote in a few key states at a cost for 50 billion dollars of the tax payers money. God move on his part...I guess...Good old Chicago politics in play there...

Unions WERE needed in the past, but now they are as bloated and corrupt as anything else out there and might as well be nothing more than a mafia protection scheme today.

Why do companies go into bankrupt because of Unions? Below is the pay scale and both union and non-union workers are close in pay...but the hidden cost from unions continually pushing for better and better benefits push the actual pay scale from $27 per hour to $72 per hour for each employee. Kind of hard to stay in business when your lowest workers cost you 72 bucks an hour... So this leads to having less and less workers... in the automoble industry alone there is less than 1/2 the work force it had a few decades ago, while Toyota keeps opening up new plants all over the place.

Assembly Line Worker --------------- Big 3 $27
---------------------------------------- Toyota $25

With overtime + profit sharing ----- Big 3 $29
--------------------------------------- Toyota $31

Just as non-union workers were attacked and forced out in the North East recuperation efforts from Sandy, not agreeing with the Union's agendas does not make one anti-worker. In the end Unions cost jobs, make companies non-completive and stifle any other non-Union work were ever they can.....

Obamas first Executive Order was to seal the records of the acting president. Not seal them after he leaves office. He wasnt president 48 hours and he blew his own promise of transparency out of the water.

Only people with something to hide seal their records...right. Diddnt lord Obama his holiness say something along those lines?

please, it doesnt matter who is/was elected. The gov is not your friend.

Stop the war on the poor and needy. The 47% remark was what pushed me over the cliff and I've voted every republican out of office. It just shows how out of touch they are to label half the country takers and useless eaters. Lots of low income people work AND need more income to get by. The elderly paid into the system as much as they had to. Vets served their country. Would you rather have all the poor living on streets? How many prisons will we need to pay for to keep them out of view and how many cops to keep them away from our property?

It amazes me how ALL politicians screw up now and then (some more than others...Biden, got to love him...hehe) but something like 47% that was said as a missed spoke gets demonized quite well. His actual mesage in that speech was correct and was lost in the 47% flub. Did you ever actually listen to it other than riding the 47% hype?

The republican message was very simple... create new jobs....period.... seems it was not as popular a message as Obama's which went every which way to "help" our poor American's..well other than to actually create new jobs for them.

The message of small government needs to be refined. It needs to sound like a government that will only serve social needs rather than help those in power to keep power. Cut spending on wars, keep an elite mercenary military, invest in schools and research and public health so that we have an educated, healthy nation.

I don't think the democrats do well here either...they push social agendas that we will not be able to afford and I'm sure they understand that quite well, but it doesn't stop them from saying it.

As the left feels that the republicans want to protect the rich in some way, I really see the Democrats focus on the ignorant masses who's life's goals have little to do with personal success and they dangle carrots out in front of these people that can never be reached. The fact that their numbers are quite large and that these people will never see the stick holding the carrot makes this group a rather easy win for votes when done right.

I agree the Republicans have failed miserably here and it will take more than a message of "jobs" to get their vote...I guess they will need a carrots of their own.

There's no asset more precious to a country than its own people. We've been "nationbuilding" overseas and wasting trillions on military that hasn't helped us a single bit. The undeveloped world still hates us even though we give them free food, free money, free everything and we have to stop doing that! We must take care of our own education, healthcare and accept diversity instead of trying to fix the rest of the planet. If the crazies overseas want to kill us just send them a few drones, not tens of thousands of soldiers who are perfect targets for roadside bombs.

Just return to the Bush "compassionate conservatism" and show the majority that if they vote republican they won't vote for a theocracy of crazy lunatics who only want to screw the poor, women, and middle class and let the rich and corporations run wild.

Only then will the economic message be the only thing that we'll be debating about between D's and R's. But until that point, any outsider to US politics will think the R's are the party of rich, whites, and religious values while the D's is the party of inclusion and social safety nets.

As a centrist I feel that right now I have no other choice than to vote for the dems or L's which are irrelevant. A lot of my moderate republican friends feel the same and voted for Obama.

It must be tough being a Democrat. Your side won the election but you still need to wake up full of hatred and contempt for other Americans because they disagree with you politically. You chastise Republicans for not working with the president but Harry Reid made it perfectly clear that if a republican won the presidency he would refuse to work with him. Not to mention that anyone who disagrees with anything that President Obama says or does for any reason is instantly branded a racists. My hope is that the Democrats and Republicans continue their hate war against each other and paralyze the system and the rest of us can get on with our lives.

Watch this clip starting about 3:22. This is straight from the crazy lunatics mouths. I would never vote for such people. I would never support a party that harbors such people. And the elections showed I'm not alone thinking of this.

www.youtube.com...

This was supposed to be a republican landslide election. It was theirs to lose. But with such R candidates the dems didn't need to do anything to win other than not be R's! Until this gets fixed in the party platform (person-hood amendment, vagi-probes, etc) the R's will keep losing seats and votes. So if we end up turning into the USSA then I blame today's Tea Party and GOP who accepts the religious and racist loons in their midst!

Typical Democrat bullspit, I can't understand how ANYONE, including democrats could want Obama in the white house. He has done absolutely nothing other than hurt our country, and now that he won, we will see his true agenda come to fruition. one by one, our liberties will be taken away, until one day we wake up and realize that our dear republic has been replaced with government control, totalitarianism mixed with socialism. But democrats fail to see that, they also can't see just how horrible of a president he is. I don't like the idea of replacing him with a religious right conservative either, but it would be better. All we have to do is sit back and watch obama take away everything this country was made for

a theocracy of crazy lunatics who only want to screw the poor, women, and middle class and let the rich and corporations run wild.

This is so much hyperbole. It was generated by the Democrat propaganda machine. If your moderate Repub friends believed it, they should just become Democrats.
Obama is a Marxist redistributionist and any Republican worth his/her salt knows this. Republicans do not have a war on women. Marxists have a war on conservatives and anyone who believes in Liberty and private property.
If we support Pro Choice then we support the taking of life in the womb and what person of deep morality will go against their own moral values? Just because young secular women chose that doesn't make it right, moral, or even the most popular.

As for stopping the war on the poor and needy, you need to study economics and then you will understand that the Democrat propaganda machine misrepresents things. Please learn about how the Federal Reserve works and how printing money excessively causes inflation and hidden taxes. The poor and needy will still suffer even if they get a "hand up" from Nanny Big Brother.

The Democratic Socialists now running the Democrat Party know full well what they are doing and why they are doing it. They are eliminating the middle class with that bs about tax cuts for the wealthy because they know they are going to raise taxes on the middle class and that the middle class will suffer when inflation hits even higher than it has. They are liars and would do and say anything to promote their agenda of abolishing private property and bourgeois Capitalism.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention how many RICH Democrats there are. And don't forget that some of the wealthiest Superrich are Democrats and Obama himself has favored and benefited quite a few wealthy corporations, including but not limited to Goldman Sachs. All you have to do is look at how many GS peopel are in his administration to know that. Also many of the labor union bosses are very wealthy and Obama benefited and gave favors to them and the Unions. Big Labor is as corrupt as any Big Business. Also you do know that Obamacare benefits BIg Pharma?

www.youtube.com...

well needless to say you guys tried your damnedest to get that done. shooting down all of the presidents suggestions (even if they were in line with republican beliefs) and pretty much making asses of yourselves at every turn. your reps say stuff like women cant get pregnant from rape, god will stop climate change and claiming that half of the country feels entitled to government handouts. lies stream out from the right like never before on a daily basis and you people have the audacity to say the election was rigged?

Ever since the internet came around the republican party has been on a decline for one simple reason. facts. 10 years ago Mitt might have won the election with all the straight up lies because a majority of the people would have no way to check and make sure what is being said is real but now thats not possible. 10 years ago Mitt might have gotten away with flipflopping around on EVERYTHING because there was no youtube to make him look like an ass. Ironically enough the reason the democrats won this election is because of how the republicans conducted themselves.

Hopefully there can be some bipartisan co-operation during his second term but chances are slim (very slim). i wouldnt be surprised if the republicans start trying to get obama impeached because of some bull crap that they make up.

Also, i'd like to point out that the republicans failed on their #1 prioirity but their #2 prioirity (making money for billionaires) was a total success

The deal is you got stupid on both sides, we are a republic....

Since Obama really had nothing to show these last four years their whole campaign was attack and use whatever stupid crap they could find and make it look like some kind of Republican main talking point...

Well it seems to have worked with you and many others...congrats...going to get rather funny now as we all see that Obama did this because he actually had nothing of substance.

It is almost funny that the left will now blame the right for Obama's failures because they didn't put up strong enough candidates to beat him.... hehe
For all the Obama voters...enjoy the pain these next four years...

Ha, ha, too funny, the Democrats are still the party of the clan, except now, they want to enslave all of humanity on their government plantation, congratulations Confederates, it only took you over a hundred years to win the civil war, but you did, and the funny thing is the former slaves helped, sad, oh well, blacks no longer have a voice, nor does anyone, all of Americans are part of a hyphenated herd divided with terms like Asian-American, Irish-American, African-American, Mexican-American, yet we are all whipped by a few, elite, slave masters, bow down before them, kiss their feet, your their property now!

No need to be rude, it seems i'm thinking about something else. Regardless, Romney should have won, Obama already proved he can't do the job after the first term. God knows why he was re elected. Lets just take away all those on welfare, homosexuals, and 75% of Latinos, and you have a loss. That is the only group of people that voted for him. Now we get to sit through 4 even worse years than last time.

The only reason obama didnt do a great of a job as he could have was because the GOP was trying to stop every single thing he attempted to do. and you cant say my candidate would have won if _________ had not voted, thats not how it works. you people need to face reality and move on.
