Unfortunately, there would be nothing there that would refute what the Bible already talks about, as a matter of fact, it would just enforce it. That
is why it is kept so secret, else the RCC would loose its power.
The fact they think they had power in the first place only shows how little they had at all .... and the Bible's truth are leaking from the vatican
bilge already. There have been persons make entry into the vactican vaults under false pretenses to bring out info on its treasures for over a
century...otherwise how would Israel have proof their goods are in there and better yet here's one not talked about very much and I will find the
link and post it when I can but guess what Palestine your tresures are there to and Israel dont have them ....during looting in about the same era 70
ce a campaign ravaged the religious houses of the whole region treasures such as one of a kind only copy texts, religious simbols and icons, and yet
even bathroom linens that then where used for washing feet hands and faces before religious ceramonies commenced even the sheets of high ranking
religous saints are included.... vatican city has it all from small to large samples to be held as indignante forms of proof that they are of the
believe they are all powerful (meaning by they vatican and RCC)

Lots of cool stuff is in there, no doubt, but it's worth considerind that a library of 215,000 books was carefully chosen from the Vatican Library by
Napoleon before embarking on his invasion of Egypt in 1798.
The Grand Orient Lodge de Paris probably holds more of the esoteric treasures of the Vatican library now than the Vatican Library does...

This issue has been bothering me deeply for a long time.
We know anything that would undermine the wealth or authority
of the church would be heavily guarded.
Anything that would undermine the authenticity of the PUBLISHED
biblical texts would certainly be hidden.
We know that the Holy Roman Empire did all it could to suppress
any notion of equality between men and women, races and cultures.
Any cooperation to hide conflicting information by other denominations can also be understood again because of the way it would threaten the wealth
and authority
of those institutions.
I can only imagine what artifacts may be hidden from us.
The contents of the chamber of knowledge under the Sphinx.
Inscriptions from the outer shells of the pyramids.
Recoveries from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Mayan and Incan artifacts recovered by Spain.
What was recovered and hidden or detroyed by the conquests of Napoleon, Hitler, Mussolini and even Saddam?
I can think of no greater historic tragedy than the repression of this knowledge.
The question now is what we can do to enforce freedom of information
from these institutions.

Haha, I hadn't heard about the pornography rumors, but it wouldn't really surprised me if it was true. We hear about so many catholic priests in
sexual scandals, why would it be any different at the Vatican?
What I'm wondering, is how much of the books (and other various objects) that they hold in their restricted access library, could be considered (by
today standards) illegally aquired?
70 % ? 90%?

I am sure there are plenty of good secrets hidden down there, but as to shaping the worlds religions, I doubt it!
Jesus Christ could come down and smack us all in the face, there would still be non-believers! There would still be scientists trying to prove it was
just a figment of our imaginations, and governments trying to cover it up, and people at ATS saying it was all a conspiracy!!!

I have no idea how many books or other artifacts there might be,
however the "forbidden" porn you speak of is very likely works of art that are considered
a bit too revealing.

Vatican City is an independant Nation/city/state of as i recall 110 acres. It
has its own law enforcement the Vatican/swiss guard that is about on par with
a special forces unit as far as equipment and training goes.
I read somewhere that the vatican library consists of something like 12 15x15
sealed rooms with special lighting and air systems like in large museums.
getting in is just the first part, then you must be able to read Greek, latin,
archaic french (i would assume both dialects) Hebrew, aramaic,German,Olde english, and probably several others. then have a memory good enough to
remember what you read and where.

I think they know very well why to hide it from public, and yes to that statement you have to know all those languages.
I think pornography is only of very secondary importance to be kept there.
They only have to link on the net to have pornography.
12 rooms, how you came to that?
Is there maybe 13th room, which is more secret then this half secret library.
I think there is no big secrecy for the people who work there in Vatican city.

Just in case you'd like to pay them a visit.........
www.vatican.va...
From what I understand, qualified scholars may view certain texts as long as they have
pre arranged which text they are looking for.
Browsing is not permitted and there are books and artifacts that are strictly forbidden
for anyone to view.
Why on earth would any "library" deny a qualified scholar access to a book?
This is inexcusable!

Why should any of those books/relics be secrets and kept from the public? If they are so confident of their religion then let the truth be known.
Obvioulsy it won't help them but hurt them which is why they do not share. With more and more people fleeing from religion/god(s), you would think
they would pull something to bring people back.

I'll bet there's unreleased/unfinished Bible books in there. Some of them are probably as far-fetched as the stuff that goes on here at ATS. Just
give me 1 day with those books and the world would go nuts.

Id give my left arm for a week in the Vatican library with a team of scholars fluent in Greek, Latin, Aramaic etc. All the stuff the Catholic Church
has suppressed of the years would be fascinating to read.

It seems to me that lots of people here have fallen victim to a "conspiracy theory". Of course, the Vatican Library and Archives have some very,
very interesting books and documents. Of course there's lot of unreleased material in it, which would probably make a lot of people (including
myself) very happy. The true groundbreaking stuff is probably not in the historic library, but in the Archives. Like any other country, the Vatican
has a huge archive (if you ask yourself, a good part of it is kept in the side passages of the Saint Paul and Peter's Church and is accesible by
qualified researchers) containing letters, orders, secret reports, etc. And like any other country of the world, a good deal of the most recent stuff
is covered by secret. Imagine the wealth of information. But, of course, there are ancient tomes and documents, still unreleased or very little known.
I think that in the due time they will be made public. This is not owing to a conspirancy or else, it's just the way it goes for ancient, rare and
precious tomes. For example, the British Library has three copies of an ancient and extremely precious Byzantine book, the Suida. Most university
professors or lecturers are aware of its existence and general contents, but very few of them had the occasion to glimpse at its pages.

CIA agenst were allowed access...im not sure how long ago. they took some pictures of books on 35mm film i think. so no doubt there will be roles and
roles of some books/art sitting in a filing cabinate somewhere in america. I very much doubt if the CIA were allowed access to the super top secret
stuff though. that material is for the pope's eyes only and very few others. I believe if there were ever any original bible scriptures then they
would be held there. many many art works are held. over a million scriptures are also held, some of which cannot be read because the language is so
old or has died out. you couldn't spend a mere week there...you would have to spend a lifetime. i believe most of what is there should be
published...the sole fact that its all been hidden away in a nuclear bunker suggests that there is something in there the world should know about, yet
the pope does not want us to see it.
