Obama did NOTHING to reverse his slide to being a one term failure like Jimmy Carter. Romney decided to run the ball, protect his lead and begin his new life as the president by looking and acting presidential in this debate. Obama looked like a little child who knows his favorite toys and free stuff are about to be ripped away from him as America is onto his shuck and jive Chicago scam.

To all the libs on here who are joined by communists, socialists, moochers, union thugs, illegals, felons and other losers....its over

That's about right. For the third debate with few undecideds, an 8 point win is a decisive win.

Yep, it's quite clear Obama won. And this time you can't blame any bias on the mod either because he let Romney speak and interrupted Obama quite often.

Since the early votes are 2/3 dems I think Romney would really need a vast majority of those voting from now on to go with him and that is unlikely. This debate probably didn't make a difference in the election but it's been TONS of FUN

What I find amusing is that after the second debate, all the MSM claimed that Obama won.

Who got the "bounce"?
Romney.

I'm looking for who gets the "bounce", since it's obvious, no-one can trust the MSM.

Obama supporters are puzzling to me.

They give credit to Obama for foreign policy, yet blame Bush for the economy.

Obama: Killed Osama
Bush: Killed the credit

ok, actually, I like thinking that, but I know the economic catastrophy took many decades of disaster and went through several presidencys..but thats just me knowing too much. simplified version is if it happened under your watch, you got to defend it (fairly or unfairly)

What Bush did do however was give a massive unpaid for tax cut across the board that did not create any employment spike (slowest job growth under any president since like...caesar). This I do fully blame Bush on, and with that surplus to debt, unpaid for and unwanted war with Iraq for ??? reasons, he did hammer the economy harshly and tipped the crash faster than what would have eventually happened anyhow.

I liked Bush, he had a good personality. seemed a bit dim, but not a bad dude, but I don't let my beer drinking buddies manage my complex investments...not sure what the US was thinking by re-electing him in 04. 2000..sure, people get bored (why I think 2016 will be a republican potus if Obama wins..even in good times, people want to try new things here to see what happens..this is actually healthy)..but in 04, I am still stumped by that move.

CNN polled on their website currently it is

Obama:75%

Romney:25%

That was polled by users visiting their website CNN.com on the right side toward the bottom.

I think more of Americans would beg to differ at those numbers though.

Romney is the poster child for why the rest of the world hates us.

To be fair the rest of the world still hates us after 4 years of Obama. The very fact that we are a superpower incites hate.
That will never change.

Ok so why is no one worried about what Rom sd about labeling China as a "currency manipulator"??? Wouldn't China be a little mad? and wouldn't they claim that sanctions against its "current" economy would be an act of aggression/war/terror?

On a further note, aren't we supposed to be wary of Chinese for many other reasons besides that?
...

This is all semi-rhetorical.

But the foreign policy issues(China), are somewhat implicating, no? I mean if we agree that the dem/rep agenda is the "same", that would imply that China is ALSO on 'the list'. Scary times.

And this is why your argument falls apart.

You had to resort to using the commie, socialist , illegal and criminal buzzwords just to make a point?

The Unions are gonna get you.

Sad. I feel sorry for people that have to dig into the propaganda when their back is against the wall.

Agreed here actually (I think a angel just got their wings ripped off their back by me agreeing with you).

Obama did win (not dance in the end zone win, but more or less won) the second, and there wasn't a big bounce.

However, then you got to consider, did it slow down or stop the momentum of Romney?
One can speculate..but your right...the only real determination comes in who gets the bounce/wins the seat in the end...doesn't matter if you have lincoln debating ali-g...if ali-g wins, then the debate was by default beneficial for him, regardless of what the msm said

your avatar name: AlternateUniverse seems a pretty accurate description of your point of view.

and the mud flinging isn't helping your cause either. losers? really? it's petty insults like that which cause us all to lose.

it was a decent debate... Obama was quite sound. Romney... not terrible, but not as strong.
when Obama flubbed the 1st debate, no "loser lib" called it otherwise. i know- i trolled the thread all night long.

PS i am a registered independent, and feel both candidates are corporate shills. i just abhor partisan trash talk. it is embarrassing.

I am not so sure it is over. But I will agree with you that BOTH are struggling to achieve epic power mainly for their own self-aggrandizement.

Of the two of them, I would say Romney wants it more, because not only does he want the raw power but the ability to manipulate all that money would be especially gratifying to someone so very in love with gold.

Romney wants it more. Hence, he is willing to lie a little more.

But Obama is not above telling a few lies either. He wants to keep the power. It is important to him. It is a personal thing...

Isn't all that moderately obvious to everyone? Hey, why are we even arguing here?

Obama won this one on style but content was pretty much a wash - so Obama takes it in the 7th with humor.

Although he should check his recent history of horseback and bayonets - both of which were used in Afghanistan. No sense belittling SOF - they've got a lot of ears.

Where were the Binders Full of Drones?

China was the bogey man with bite - I imagine the PLA will enjoy outmaneuvering either of this buffoons.

I can't wait until this train wreck is over. -Mags

"I know you are but what am I"

You better bring your A-game when talking politics on ATS. We don't mess around here.

Off topic: Does the name Eurisko2012 ring a bell? You have some similarities.

So who won?

1st Place: Imperialism
2nd Place: Obama

To be fair, Obama said we have fewer horses and bayonets, not that we didn't have any.
