By the way, diets are bullchit. So is exercise.

I've known this one girl for twenty years and she is very overweight. She doesn't have things like diabetes or sleep apnea and I've know skinny people who do have those kinds of things.

She even exercises once a day by riding her bike for ten miles or for one hour, whichever comes first, except on the weekends. She keeps her calorie intake to 2750 a day and no more. She takes this in large amounts ofof rabbit food so she can be full so she can eat lots of food at a time. I once saw her beat twenty different men in an arm wrestling match a few years ago. After that nobody in this town will arm wrestle her and she's developed something of a legend for doing that.

She's been doing this for ten years, and she is still over weight. You could mistake her for being pregnant.

So what now, you diet and exercise people?

Sure, diet and exercise do work for some, but for the most part, it's still bs. It's also a huge generalization to say it works for everybody. It doesn't work for everybody, just some people, and to say otherwise is a huge generalization that is propped up by the health industry in order to scam you out of your money so they can get richer and richer and richer.

And their scam works too, because they prey on people's anxieties and manipulate their emotions.

There's a good book on the subject called "The Obesity Myth: Why America's Obsession with Weight is Hazardous to Your Health" by Paul Campos on how the health industry scams people gullible people into believing all this diet and exercise junk. I recommend reading it.

Ok... lets see the point on your post

1. It can be a thyroid issue. That doesnt mean that exercise and all that dont work. They do. But in that specific case it may be a problem with her thyroid. Exercise is not a scam, is a fact. If you see a fatty on competitive swimming and if he or she wins, you're looking at a sperm whale. Theres no fat people in competitive sports (and no, chicken wings all you can eat competitions are not a sport), so saying that a diet and exercise are scams either you're lying or you.

2. A woman beating twenty men in arm wrestling either you're lying, puffing things up, or your town is composed of flimsy old men - theres also the chance that shes a freak in the testosterone field - men are always stronger than women if you adjust for total body mass. Men have also higher muscle-mass to body-mass ratio. Men are more prone to muscular hypertrophy which is a result of higher levels of testosterone. A woman's elbow or knee has about half the strength of a man's. If that little story you told is true, that is NOT a normal woman and shes stuffed in testosterone - does she have facial hair issues? If the story is true, she has to.

3. You say she pushes 2700 calories a day, when a man's diet should around 2500. A woman's, never above 2000 (1940 to be exact).

4. In the food department theres also "good" 2500 calories and bad-fat 2500 calories, so... those 2700 calories she takes in which is already WAY too much, its the wrong kind of calories also.

And I still cant picture a woman beating 20 men in arm wrestling - if its true, that... being is not a woman. Not in the traditional or healthy sense anyway.

Regardless of what you want to believe, she's a very strong woman. There are such things you know, and no, she doesn't have facial hair.

This just smacks of misogynist.

Boy, what people won't say to keep their fantasies about women being barefoot and pregnant in the home.

LOL @ "bad fat calories".

You don't have to exercise. YOu don't have to cut out fat. Matter of fact, your body wants fat to operate. You have two forms of energy your body will use: fat and sugar. And with sugar, it is turned to fat in the liver.

RE: exercise....laziness is the tendancy of humans. This tells me that it is a natural state for us (some form of sedentary behavior). We only feel we have to do so much more exercise because, in an attempt to allow for the overpopulation of the planet, we are being fed starches and grains en masse.

Fat is the "good" calorie. It is more dense (9 calories/gram vs 4 calories/gram in starch/sugar). But you also eat far less, as fat is more "rich". You also tend to eat more proteins when you eat fat (as fat is typically had with meats).

You are spreading more myths. And with such a poor understanding of how nutrition works, your tone just makes you look full of ego and silly.

You are right about women typically being physically less strong. But that is about all you have right.

I'm glad that most people can see the difference between someone calling someone fat and someone being a member of the KKK.

Seriously, can you not?

Yes I can; the KKK discriminate against peoples colour and calling someone a fatty is discriminating against their weight. However I do believe you asked the wrong question. I think the question you should have asked yourself instead is... Can you see the similarities...

Okay, where is the high carbs in this food pyramid?

There are many different food pyramids out there, not just one.

Most diets are based on low carbs.

Edit:

Sorry, here's the source for the image:

Is that the food pyramid for the ADA? I am talking about the "official" guideance provided by our government. The one that is promoted in schools and determines how hungry children will be with the Hunger Free Child Act.

I eat about 20 grams, maybe 30 grams carbohydrate per day. A large portion of the foods in your image have high carb content.

Typically, cheese, green veggies, and meat. Along with flax, coconut flour, almond flour, and peanut butter. That is my diet in a nutshell.

When i say "diet", it means "the food I eat typically", not "the fad eating program I am on".

I think we should not forget the simple fact that discriminating against someone for anything is wrong. Although "wrong" should not necessarily equate to "illegal".

Yup. Eat grains and fruits, then exercise. Because apples, wheat, and corn are easy to produce mass quantities of. Bacon isn't quite so easy. It promotes the interests of the governments, that need ever growing populations to continue economic growth. Especially in this day and age where our economy operates on a ponzi requiring population growth to support.

Fruits are nice and all....but high in carbohydrate. Same with grains, even whole grains. Some people can do well eating like that. Many cannot. And that is where the obesity problem comes in.

The ones who can tolerate the carb rich diet don't understand why the ones who need to avoid carbs and eat a fat rich diet keep staying fat. Honestly, most of the fat people don't understand why they are fat, either. All because of the most obvious thing ever: that not everyone is the same, and can eat the same foods with the same effect.

We don't live in a society where it's deemed sexy to walk around like a stick insect. We live in a society where it's deemed sexy when someone is HEALTHY.

Yawn. Give me some marrow and at least try....

Here is a little science to nullify your opinion. Please if you respond. Please give me peer reviewed science. Not your opinion.. Opinions are cheap and plentiful...

Abstract Fat oppression doesn't just affect fat people or fat women. It really works to keep everyone in line. Fear of fat is rampant in our society and is responsible for the current masochistic race toward a slender body image. We are a culture nearly addicted to individual control and the notion seems to exist in our society that fatness means a loss of self-control - which is considered the ultimate moral failure in our culture, and perhaps the most frightening of all fears.

"Fat oppression doesn't just affect fat people or fat women. It really works to keep everyone in line. It's a whole system of social control that keeps thin women absolutely terrified of being fat or thinking they are fat, and a whole lot of energy goes into dealing with fat. It keeps women who are medium-sized absolutely panic-stricken because they are right on the border. Those of us who are fat are over that border into some state of evil, basically, very much outside of what is permissible within white American culture. If you are fat, then what you are supposed to do is strive desperately to get non-fat..." (Judith Stein, Fat Liberation Movement, Mitchell, Newmark, 1981)

“Historical analyses of images of women have reported that the preferred women's body has become consistently smaller over the past century” (Ogden 2003 p.71). In the middle ages, rounder, plumper figures were seen as erotic and fashionable. In art, paintings of women were depicted as having rounded hips and full breasts. (Grogan 1999)

Obese people cannot run how far I can run. Cannot stand the heat as well as I can. Cannot do the work that I can.

Whatever... Fat people float in the sea longer. Fat people take longer to starve. Fat people feel the cold less.. What exactly are you trying to say....

This is not fiction. A person of color can run comparable distances, can stand comparable heat, can do comparable work.

Incorrect. There are physiological differences between races. For example black people tend not to be as good at swimming as Caucasians. Further an African bushman will be able to stand a greater extremity of heat than a caucasian. Again what are you trying to say.

This also means that they may lack discipline and motivation.

Maybe its thin people that are weak minded..Who knows many seem very happy to swallow the MSM image of what a body should look like.. I prefer people that can think for themselves. You wouldn't be thin perchance now would you. I read a scientific paper that thin people are weak of mind.....

Being fat is behavioral, being black, white, yellow, red, or brown is not.

Again you are wrong... Race is a behavioural trait. Albeit over a far longer period of time. Environmental factors influence physiological characteristics and genetic makeup...

Now please sit down for a moment.. Really this might hurt your ego if you are a thin person.... Fat people statistically speaking have a higher IQ....

If the answer to "does my bum look big in this?" is yes, it may be time to start counting yourself lucky. Big-hipped women have higher IQs, a longer life expectancy and smarter kids, according to a growing body of research

RIDGE FARM -- The devastated mother of 10-year-old Ashlynn Conner spoke up about the bullying that she says led to her daughter's suicide. Stacy Conner broke down, as she recounted how kids at school and around the neighborhood would tease the girl. "They'd call her a slut," said a tearful Conner, "Ashlynn's ugly. She's fat."

I agree. We are discriminatory towards people all the time.. I have a problem only when it is done with a negative malicious intent. This is amplified greatly with issues of weight which is a social stigma...

Words cannot kill people. Words cannot hurt people.

Err, if you've ever been bullied a day in your life, yes they damn well can. The rate of teenage suicides due to bullying because of weight is getting higher every year. And the sad part is, a lot of those teenagers aren't even overweight... They think they are because of the hurtful words of others.

I get so irritated at fat people calling me a "Stick."

And clearly words have even affected your good self at times.... See above ^^^

If I shoot some one with a gun, the bullet kills them. I fired the bullet, so I'm responsible.

It is EXACTLY the same with words. Like when mine own Father said to me at the very tender and influential age of 14; "If I were you I would've killed myself by now". That literally killed me inside for a long time...
He shot me with words and pained me very deeply. And he is responsible. Those words are still integrated deep in my psyche - the hurt is difficult to get rid of.

I would MUCH rather he had actually shot me with a real bullet. It would have hurt a lot less.. And the wound would've healed quicker too...

No, like i said....its about sustaining population growth. In the fiat system money is lent to nations based on the number of people they have. Your national value is worth the number of people you have X 25k (if i recall correctly).

In accounting, all resources are ssigned a value, and a depreciation schedule (unless they are nondepreciable items like toilet paper). The value of a person is the amount of net worth he produces in a year. He depreciates over 65 years (as an example).

So when we go to China to get a loan, they look at our "balance sheet" (or, net population and GDP) to determine our net worth, then they loan on terms based on that net worth Same as you and I, sort of.

Having gone through all of that, our system is dependant on population growth. Our population seems to demand growth, to be honest. We are seeing some nations like France starting to decline a little...and they responded fairly aggressively to boost population. It was critical for them to recieve any more money.

It is far cheaper and easier to feed your nation carbs as opposed to fats and proteins. To support population growth, our food systems are set up to push carbs, the easier food to grow and store. The cheaper food to produce. It is simple economics.

Or reptilians overlords. Whichever.

your post is self-defeating. Not only is the idea of "calling yourself something= you being violent" stupid. You go out of your way to call out a group of "haters" thus separating them from the rest of mankind and according to your broken logic that would mean you are being violent.
Do you see the irony in your rhetoric?

From your posts I see that you do not understand how much words can affect a person. Having been bullied myself at school for being 'fat' and for being English (I moved to Scotland when I was 11), I am all for the banning. You clearly have NO idea how much a word can integrate itself in someones psyche so deep - it is damn near impossible to get rid of. And it will affect their lives CONSTANTLY until they can manage to be rid of such hurt. I was only 1 stone overweight and the reason for that was because I used to comfort eat because I got bullied - and it wasn't just at school.

Words only have as much power as you assign them. What is more is that you have no idea who I am and what I have had to deal with growing up, so save your rhetoric for someone it suits better.

I'm gonna keep this short.
Then my friend freaked out ran home, words were said between myself and David, I tried to keep walking but they ran in front of me and stopped me. They beat me senseless, then took off all my clothes apart from my bra and knickers, tied me to a lamp post and wrote on my stomach in permanent marker - fat english slag..... and left me.

So I dont know about you Superhans, but those bullies should have been in juvenile detention a long time ago..!!
Do you not see how things can escalate...?! Just over calling someone fat - even when I was only 1 stone over weight. And its not like they themselves were the thinnest branches on the tree...

Name calling and beating are two entirely different things. Physically beating someone and tying them up are not words, fists hurt and can damage you. Words can be ignored while a fist can't.

Im really not sure what you are trying to say seeing as much of your story revolves around physical abuse? Am I to believe that if you mix the two up in a long story that I will somehow confuse words with beatings and thus agree with you or have some big realization?

If you call someone fat in a malicious way, then yes it is a crime. If you call someone black in a malicious way, yes it is a crime. If you call someone a retard in a malicious way, yes it is a crime too...

No, its not a crime. Maybe it is wrong or unkind but those are not crimes.
